WEDDING DANCE

Some days all the common stuff that surrounds me looks fresh, new and unpredictable like a part of some great adventure ...

... and things tend to roll pretty smoothly from surprise to surprise, like a well written trippy scenario. Yesterday I had that kind of day, easy going, seemingly uneventful but actually spectacular, and this is a post that tries to encapsulate those moments and the overall atmosphere.

This is a Video - post at its core, so now ... is time to take a look at this short video :) arguably the most important part. Have a good view.

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

A short look at swarm of winged ants in their nuptial flight.

▶️ 3Speak

I haven't thought about this while filming and enjoying the scene, with ants swarming around my head like frenetic thoughts ready to explode in a mental firework, but ...

IMG_6612 malo.jpg

... this kind of looks like an interesting companion piece to the Video - post I published a few days ago ... the DEATH IN THE DUST post - https://hive.blog/hive-101587/@borjan/aeucgjpm
There are some traces of Yin - Yang relationship between the two :D
This could be interpreted as a spiritual ascending after the dusty visit to death and decomposition.

I already showed you plenty of ants in the video ...

IMG_6715 malo.jpg

... so in this still image continuation of the post, I'll show you more sky ...

IMG_6605 malo.jpg

... and some trippy visions ...

IMG_6650 EDIT malo.jpg

... that had a big influence on how I've experienced all that stuff. The clouds looked much more majestic to me than the photographs were showing ...

IMG_6651 EDIT malo.jpg

... so I tried to find some help in Photoshop, to balance the things I saw with the stuff I felt and imagined on that day. After many unsuccessful experiments, that involved even some drawing, a simple Invert option with a bit of color adjustments worked just fine :D and the clouds turned again into distant, alien landscapes that I visited yesterday.

I like this particular edit very much because it suits my imagination perfectly ... but you never know with clouds :) for some images it just didn't work ...

IMG_6632 malo.jpg

... this composition looked good only in black and white.

(Enlargeable)

And now ... in the same way as this all began ... with the ants in their wedding ballet ...

(Enlargeable)

... is time to end the post. As always here on HIVE, all the photographs, edits and the video are in all segments my work - THE END.

It is a nice complement to your Death in the Dust post.
I remember years ago in my kitchen large ants swarmed near my window. I was horrified. I had carpenter ants! The remedy was simple: Tear down the large wooden toy house under the kitchen window. Sad day, because my kids had spent such happy times there. But the ants did go away and no chemicals were used to accomplish that.
Another lovely post, especially your work with the clouds.

:) Yes, those carpenter ants tend to do their carpentry when nobody asks them and provoke problems.

Amazing capture. I hope those ants keep on flying and don't try to crawl into my house. 😁

We have all kinds of ants here on the Island, except fire ants.
