African wildlife

Hello,

It has been a while since my last post in Amazing Nature community, especially with animals theme. I hope I will make up for long absence with the following post.

There is hardly to choose better destination than Africa for wildlife watching. Since I was young boy, Africa was always presented as paradise destination for all the wild animals I saw only on TV or maybe in the zoo. I never thought I will be able to see all these exclusive animals in person and in their natural habitat. As you know I was in Africa three times, one of the visits was to Ethiopia where wildlife is not that varied, I was in Namibia east bordered countries once and I shared a lot of material from there already and the third time I stepped on African soil it was to the southernmost country – South African Republic, which gave me material to do this post today and share it with you.

I was there back in 2016 and would go back again mainly due to amazing wildlife. Covid made huge impact on tourism and rates went down with it as well. You can get really good connections from Europe to some African destinations and I am seriously looking at some offers to go there again. It is too soon to make any conclusions, but hope I will be able to revisit sooner or later.

What else to write? Photos of amazing nature on my travel will speak for themselves. As a big animal lover I really enjoyed observing the surroundings and watching for animals. It puts you in some kind of game and I could be spotting animals days, even weeks probably. It can’t get boring…
We saw pretty much all the animals I know live there. Luck was on our side I can say. I will keep some photos from some other opportunity as I still wish to do day by day travel blog to Haveyoubeenhere community, but currently there is no time for anything like that.
Hope you will enjoy in some wild animals and if you have possibility safari in South African Republic is highly recommended!

Plenty to see and do here in Africa, planning your next visit sounds interesting Andy.

From large to small each tells a story, animals definitely help keep the balance in life, hopefully the more people realize this the sooner respect will be shown toward all wildlife.

Ohhh Africa is like a magnet to me.
I can very hardly resists to some good offer for this continent.
Anyway I have some other non-travel plans to take care first and let us see what the future holds...

I think wildlife is getting more respect, but still not enough. There is a small % of people whose mentality have to change and the World will be even nicer...

Thank you very much for the support!

Once Africa gets into your blood it is not something you forget quickly.

Europe and Northern countries are pretty, loaded with history, Africa is untamed a raw beauty once you out of cities.

Perhaps I am biased growing up barefoot in the veld, I still feel travel is the most educational thing anyone could do. (Just completed a series on the Silk Road from Venice to China, amazing things to learn, so many hidden treasures.)

Hope 2021 allows you to travel and enjoy nature wherever you go.

I know you by now :)
I am sure you would like to visit Africa once. Probably also go into some sanctuary and maybe live and work there for couple of months.

Well Africa is a dream destination for many of us...

I think, I don't need to write my opinion about Africa again :)
Everyone who has the opportunity and like nature should visit that beautiful continent.

Indeed!
Europe is awesome, but Africa and other continents have something different and that is why they are even more interesting to us, Europeans...
