It's a succulent baby, it can be easily reproduced. The wonderful nature takes care of everything.

Es una bebe suculenta, se puede reproducir fácilmente. La maravillosa naturaleza se encarga de todo.

It all starts when a small leaf of the plant comes off its stem, either accidentally or for plant breeding purposes. The plant has in its genetic information that the leaf, when not receiving communication with the plant, will begin its involution and death process. When at the point where it had its insertion with the mother plant, a bud begins to emerge. It continues to grow thanks to the fact that the leaf retains the necessary nutrients to maintain a new life in the thickness of the leaf. It does it long enough, until the bud itself continues its evolution to a small shoot with roots.

Todo comienza cuando una pequeña hoja de la planta se desprende de su tallo, ya sea en forma accidental o con fines de reproducción de la planta. La planta tiene en su información genética que la hoja al no recibir comunicación con la planta, va a comenzar su proceso de involución y muerte. Es cuando a nivel del punto donde tenía su inserción con la planta madre, comienza a surgir una yema. Esta continua creciendo gracias a que la hoja, conserva en el grosor de la ella, los nutrientes necesarios para mantener una nueva vida. Lo hace por tiempo suficiente, hasta que la propia yema sigue su evolución a pequeño brote con raíces.

The bud continues its development until it separates its body from the already decaying leaf and transforms into a plant, similar to this one. With the same characteristics of its mother plant.

El brote continua su desarrollo hasta separar su cuerpo de la hoja ya en decadencia y se transforma en una planta, parecida a esta. Con las mismas características de su plante madre.

Over time it transforms into an adult plant. The Paraguayan Graptopetalum, mother of pearl or ghost plant.

Con el tiempo se transforma en una planta adulta. La Graptopetalum Paraguayense, Madre perla o planta fantasma.

Another similar case is this small plant that is growing on the edge of the mother plant's leaf. It will follow the same process as the previous one. And It can do it together with the mother plant or separated from it.

Otro caso parecido pero no igual, es esta pequeña planta que está creciendo al borde de la hoja de la planta madre. Va a seguir el mismo proceso que la anterior. Y lo puede hacer unida junto a la planta madre o separada de ella.

It is barely two cm long and is already separated from the leaf of the mother plant. With all the characteristics of an adult plant.

Tiene apenas dos cms aproximadamente y ya está separada de la hoja de la planta madre. Con todas las caracteríticas de una planta adulta.

This is another succulent, it belongs to the family of the Kalanchoes. Its name is Gastenis Bonnieri and the common name is Donkey's Ear. Since the leaves are arranged or have a similarity, to the shape of the ears of this animal.

Es otra suculenta, pertenece a la familia de los Kalanchoes. Su nombre, Gastenis Bonnieri y el nombre común es oreja de burro. Ya que las hojas se disponen o tienen un parecido, a la forma de las orejas de este animal.

We have two examples where the wonderful and incredible nature, thanks to its genetic information, tries to preserve the species. And it does it very well. One grows towards the end of the union of the leaf already detached and the other on the edge of the leaf, either detached or in the mother leaf. It is maintained thanks to the nutrients it receives from the leaf and then becomes independent with its own roots.

Tenemos dos ejemplos en donde la maravillosa e increíble naturaleza, gracias a su información genética, trata de preservar la especie. Y lo hace muy bien. Una crece hacia el extremo de la unión de la hoja ya desprendida y, la otra en el borde de la hoja, ya sea desprendida o en la hoja madre. Se mantiene gracias a los nutrientes que recibe de la hoja y luego se independiza con sus propias raíces.
