(Google translate from Czech)

In the last challenge, we wandered in cloudy heights. It's time to go down again :-)

Greetings to all fans of Amazing Nature Community.

Even though the beginning of this spring is cold, nature is changing its "coat". Winter gray gives way to lush greenery and flowers appear on the meadows. However, you will find our new topic just above the ground :-). We will focus on

SPROUTING LEAF BUDS

Your task will be:

  • take a documentary photo (macro and large zoom welcome)
  • find and add the scientific name of the tree or shrub on which you photographed the buds
  • attribute some interest that might be of interest to others

As always, a little inspiration for you :-)

Until the last moment, I had no idea what topic I would find for you. However, on my walk I was fascinated by the view of the horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum). They are just starting to sprout new leaves. The sticky buds crack and large palm-shaped leaves begin to "climb out".

Horse chestnut is highly valued in natural medicine. Bud tincture and fruit ointment have a beneficial effect on the treatment of venous insufficiency, pulmonary embolism, rheumatic or menstrual pain. A description of all possible uses for treatment would suffice for a separate article :-).

One more interesting thing. Women are advised to carry two chestnuts and rub them in their hands. This activity stimulates and supports the production of the female hormone :-)

I wish you a wonderful experience in fulfilling the tasks of this challenge :-)

Hello dear friends @bucipuci @amazingnature good afternoon
I really like the theme of this week.
I tell you, here we are in autumn, there are more than 120 days to see the leaf buds; Curiously I found some buds but of flowers, perhaps the post does not qualify for the contest, you wish.
I take this opportunity to wish you a splendid afternoon

Thank you for your link.
I should have formulated the name of the topic better. I didn't think of flower buds.
Welcome to the competition :-)

Thank you for your link. It is an instructive article but does not correspond to the given topic "sprouting buds". I recommend you submit an article to the main competition.
