A wonderful spring day - Hiking to Pátka
Finally, it's spring weather again! Yet 2 days ago the snow fell in large flakes and remained for a quarter of an hour. Fool April, month of extremities, makes a fool of us, too! As a result of the cold, many flowering fruit trees froze, and hawthorn and wild plums were no exception in many places. But grass and weed began to grow as if pulled by an invisible hand.
Since the trees and shrubs are not yet green, at the ground level, all plants get enough light and are bright green. I went on trails that have no tourist signs but are easy to walk on. Sometimes I had to stop for a moment because I heard loud noises from the bush. Wild boars love to hide among the bushes, and for understandable reasons, I didn’t want to meet a mother pig and its striped piglets.
I've only been here one week ago, but a lot has changed. Where it has not frozen, hawthorns are already in full bloom and bees are buzzing among them.
It’s so calming to hear these hard-working little insects. I thank them for carrying on and sustaining life.
I saw deer several times, they walked in the field in teams. This photo was taken from very far away and I also cut out the image. Due to the warmed air (mirage), the image became blurred. Nevertheless, the white buttocks of the deer are clearly visible.
This peacock butterfly probably still evolved last year and, in this state of hibernation, successfully survived the winter.

There are such forest roads near Lake Pátka
I walked down the dam to the village because I was pretty tired after 15km of walking. I haven't met anyone other than anglers and some dog-owners.
