Chickens-of-the-woods, sulphur polypores (Laetiporus sulphureus) have grown on the branches of a tree by the river / Na gałęziach drzewa nad rzeką wyrosły dorodne żółciaki siarkowe

During a bicycle trip to the river, I noticed some pretty sulphur polypore growing on the branches. They looked amazing. More than once, I have seen sulphur polypore growing on a tree trunk, but never growing in such a way on branches. They looked a bit like fruit or a tree ornament, and besides, the scenery in which they grew was beautiful.

Podczas wycieczki rowerowej nad rzekę zauważyłam rosnące na gałęziach dorodne żółciaki siarkowe. Wyglądały niesamowicie. Widziałam nieraz żółciaki rosnące na pniu drzewa, ale nigdy rosnące w taki sposób na gałęziach. Wyglądały trochę jak owoce albo ozdoba drzewa, a poza tym sceneria w której rosły była przepiękna.

An angler was sitting near the tree on which sulphur polypore was growing, and he was fishing. When I was photographing the mushroom, the angler caught a roach. He said that he once caught a bream here and that the river water was clean and you could eat the fish. On the other hand, I saw a lot of lichens on the tree on which the sulphur polypores grew, and their presence depends on the quality of the environment. Since they grow on this tree, apparently it is not bad, despite the fact that it is a huge and quite polluted city.

Niedaleko drzewa na którym rósł żółciak siedział wędkarz i łowił ryby. Gdy fotografowałam grzyba wędkarz złowił płotkę. Mówił, że kiedyś udało mu się złowić tu leszcza i że woda w rzece jest czysta i można jeść te ryby. Za to na drzewie na którym rósł żółciak widziałam sporo porostów, a ich występowanie uzależnione jest od jakości środowiska. Skoro rosną na ty drzewie to widocznie nie jest z tym źle, mimo, że to ogromne i dość zanieczyszczone miasto.

You can make chops, similar to pork chops, from sulfur yellows. Such large specimens would turn out to be great chops ;) Maybe I will pick one of them and make myself such cutlets at home ;)

Z żółciaków siarkowych można robić kotlety, podobne do schabowych. Z takich dużych okazów wyszłyby superowe schaboszczaki ;) Sama nie wiem, może zerwę któregoś z nich i zrobię sobie takie kotlety w domu ;)
