A feast of nature's beauties!

062.JPG
A collection of 11 photos that all reflect the beauty of nature.

In this "modern" age with a bad internet signal it took me exactly 5 minutes and 45 seconds to load each photo.
I started at 13.00hrs and finished now at 14.00hrs.
But I digress, in this collection I hope that you will find something that you like.
Come have a look!

A male Carpenter Bee (Xylocopa caffra) on Spanish Lavender!
409.JPG

I took a few photos of him, as it is not often that one can find the males sitting.
413.JPG

They normally hover around and fly up and down at crazy speeds.
But the flowers lent a definite allure to the pictures.
427.JPG

Here we have an opening Rose flower.
082.JPG

This is a beautiful Hibiscus flower!
068.JPG

Look carefully, as you can see a little blue damselfly flying up to the female at the left. The female laying eggs is an "Emperor dragonfly" (Anax Imperator), the biggest of our dragonflies.
129.JPG

A Red-veined Dropwing (Trithemis arteriosa) sitting over the water waiting for his wife, who was at the optometrist!
219.JPG

His wife arrived and he led her home, as she lost her spectacles.
341.JPG

Have you ever seen a Dwarf Chameleon (Bradypodion pumilum) doing the splits? Look carefully!
These chameleons can only be found in the Western Cape of South Africa.
048.JPG

Finally, here's the dam where I took the photos.
107.JPG

Some sad news about the dwarf chameleons is that they have become popular as pets and greedy souls poach them to sell them anywhere that they can.
A walk out in the open arms of mother nature is always a good and a healthy idea especially when one is alone.
Did you know that nature can talk to your soul?
Maybe I am a bit dippy, but mother nature certainly whispers to mine.

And That's All Friends!

Note: All photos are my own and taken with a Canon Powershot SX60HS. Bridge camera.

We hope that you have enjoyed the pictures and thank you kindly for visiting a post by @papilloncharity

Gorgeous photos, dragonflies are my spirit animal when I was young if I was outside there would be a dragonfly always by me. I love to paint dragonflies they are so unique and come in a variety of colors, I have a pink dragonfly tattoed on my shoulder, to remember they follow me where ever I go.

An amazing story here and when I got my first camera an old wise friend advised me to practise with it by taking shots of dragonflies. His words were; "If you can get something small and fast, then the bigger things will be much easier" He was of course 100% correct.
I have an old faded scorpion on my back, a reminder of the rebel years hahaha.

It's Friday, so have some !WINE

wow a bee is awesome!

Some sad news about the dwarf chameleons is that they have become popular as pets and greedy souls poach them to sell them anywhere that they can. - it's SO sad...in Russia exotic pets are very popular now too...
I wonder - are people boring? or why??

Thank you and no, people are not boring, but rather we all have a big "want" inside us.
When one sees something cute and beautiful one wants it.
Until the novelty wears off, the one wants something else.
The whant is constant and can never be satisfied.

Taking forever to upload or even look at some pics of late, slows the day down considerably Stephen.

Gorgeous photography share once again, keep the chameleons a secret best you can do for them!

So true Lady Joan and especially when my late night work has been cancelled, the workload has increased, as I have to do everything in less hours.
The Western Cape has applied to the government to generate our own power and to abandon Eskom. Hopefully powercuts will become history here.

The signal towers are very sensitive and loadshedding is bad news for them.
We sit with laughable download and worse upload speeds.

Yep! No one will find the chameleons as long as we stay here.

Blessings and have a glass of !WINE

Power outages are affecting the whole country, if your region becomes independent great for Capetonians.

Cellular here is a laugh a minute, hence I post possibly once or twice a week it has become that poor a signal. Next month hopefully fibre installation so March possible connection.

Enjoy the chameleons have not seen any in my garden for the past eight years at least.

I think that it's a political thing Lady Joan. The western cape has always wanted to be an independent province in the country and the government is equally desperate to rule here.
So, we sit berween two fires. The current party that rules here is desperate to declare independence and the other side is bussing in people every day in an effort to win at the next elections.

A laugh a minute is an apt way to describe the situation. Imternet costs a fortune and their service is the worst worldwide.

Keeping an eye on the chameleons my friend and they will go nowhere.

Sunday blessings have some !WINE

"Kom si, kom sa" Nationalist did it, now the ANC, not much changes, except the happy chameleon living free in the bush.

Cooler weather with Eloise sending us a breeze and drizzle, enjoy a !BEER later although they are running pretty low 😌in reality....

Yes, nationalists trained the anc hahaha and I am hiding the chameleons from the tax man, as he is desperate to raise taxes 🤣

Yes, !BEER is scarce nowadays and I don't think that drinking drain cleaner is a good idea.
