A thief caught red handed!

A neighbor's tomatoes are disappearing and he looks at all of us very suspiciously

Did you know that a squirrel can plant an Avocado tree?

Today I will show you the antics of the young "gardening squirrels at our home. But first, I want to show you who the thief is and how he teaches the other young ones to steal tomatoes.
Come and have a look!

This is the neighbor's prized tomato box in his garden.

And I had a witness watching the thief.

But here the witness on the back of the tree decided to go and steal his own tomato.

Now for the Avocado trees!

This is a young growing Avocado Tree in our garden.

The Avocado pit was plonked down by a squirrel and the pit decided to grow. Here is what the pit looks like. And you can see the root has cracked the pit open.

The volunteer gardener gets thirsty and she pops up regularly for a drink at the bird bath.

After she has taken off her spectacles, of course.

But I have a surprise awaiting!

I don't think that any of the squirrel gardeners or any of the others will try to steal my tomatoes.
076.JPG

Unless of course they like very hot "tomatoes" but I doubt that very much.

The squirrels have also planted Hubbard Squash pumpkins here, and Butternut pumpkins, onions, carrots, potatoes, beetroot, tomatoes and maize. And of course their own peanut bushes. Which I will show you in another post.
They are all unpaid volunteer gardeners, and whenever their memory is at a loss wherever they planted something it simply grows. A fun garden indeed, as we all eat from it.

And That's All Friends!

Note: All photos are my own and taken with a Canon Powershot SX60HS bridge camera.

One forgets how very busy little squirrels can be, seeding everything for you in the garden makes for a small adventure, not only for them but for you!

Squirry appears to enjoy eating healthy, sure to test taste the peppers unless that sharp nose picks the scent first.

Wonderful weekend wishes to yourself and Marian, not forgetting little Troy.

!WINE for dinner time! Later....

Oh yeah, they are up and down the whole day and real little busy things Lady Joan.

Squirry is no more around, as the last we have seen of her was about 3 or 4 months ago. She has disappeared before, but never this long. All of her kids are still here.

Hope you guys are also having a good weekend.

!WINE also for you!

Busy garden to say the least, squirrel life span is around seven years, possibly she went quietly into retirement leaving the youngsters to rule the roost.

!WINE much later, boiling hot day!

Thank you and like I said elsewhere, we love to watch their inventive antics.
Amazing how they can make a plan to get at something that they want to eat.
From sea shells to vegetables and fruit.
Glad that you liked the shots.

Cheers and !WINE

I noticed on another Hive Service how someone stole your squirrel image without attributing it to you.

Greetings Tony and thank you for the tip.
Do you perhaps have a link to the post and not to worry, as I will not mention your name.
