This Drongo looked great against the backdrop of autumn colors.

Some colors today and autumn will start to cool things down after the heatwaves.

I read some articles about the dangerous heatwave that was present in the northern countries and thought that it would bring some relief to show some cool colors today. We are also having some intense storms here lately, of a more intense rainfall over shorter periods and it causes flooding and damages. So yeah, I think that there are weather changes all over the world.

The green trees will soon get dressed in a multitude of colors.

Even the wine grapes have taken on a rusty pink/red color.

Some lonely and forlorn leaves were ripped of its tree to become compost.

Two bees were seaching for some pollen on this evergreen tree.

She seems to say that all will be well and everything is at it should be.

I am not too well folks, but don't let that trouble you as I can still post. Started this post at 10:30am and now it is 1:35pm here. Such is life. We hope that we have brought you some relief with the news of the approaching autumn. Our spring season is knocking on the door, and I am sure that we will also fry here when summer arrives.
Strange things seem to happen with the weather all over the world.

Isn't it funny how we- humans- Australians...insult the poor Drongo by using their name as a commedic insult...

Hahaha, you Aussies have always had a lot of humor and it's the same here, but such is life my friend.
The Drongos are brave, as I have seen a couple attack a big raptor bird to keep him away from their nest. They can also mimic the calls of many other birds.

Yes, I know about the very hot conditions over there and that's why I decided to show some cold, also reminding everyone that fall is coming. Our summers are always very hot and I was always used to it, but now that I am getting older it becomes a problem.

Over here in summer we can go up to 50C in the African sun, so yeah I feel for you guys and that's why I reminded that fall is on its way.
We have rain in winter and our rains will soon stop again to make way for spring.

Dongos were very busy on our Sunday walk at the river, never get opportunity to photograph with two dogs it is a bit hectic. Yup dogs got a walk in over a month, lifted off at a pace to check everything new in the hood.

Hahaha, thank you for the care Lady Joan and for the last two days I have only taken a few photos here at home.

Oh yes, Spring is the messenger of Summer and you know those hot and sweaty days at night in bed.
I also prefer the cool breezes even if the rain create much wetness.

I love how the Drogos mimic the calls of other birds and yes with two dogs you have a slight problem 🤣

Oh boy, dogs are the least of my problems of late, sure photography goes on back burner...., but I am getting out!

Winter is THE season for me, still in shorts and slops, only had 'winter clothing' on for two days this year, wait for September/October normally some cold fronts run through.

Plenty photos in archive I am sure never looked at or posted, ha ha you will survive even on the lean days!

Oh yeah, I think many of us have more problems to handle nowadays and this Covid thing is sowing big trouble in the Cape. At our main partner ngo, one member of our future leadership team that we train picked up covid and two others are in isolation. I don't need to tell you how many small busnisses and restaurants closed down, as I think it's the same at your end.

My pyjamas are my skin in summer and winter Lol.

Yes, It's amazing how many photos loiter in there waiting for their turn to be posted.

First we want to have another few weeks of summer and then I am looking forward to the autumn colours and the misty mornings, but foremost I love the colourful trees. like the ones you show in your post.

When does your Autumn season start?
Our official Spring season starts next month on the 1st of April, so your start should also be thereabouts.

The meteorological seasons: Spring 1st of March, Summer 1st of June, Autumn 1st of September and Winter 1st of December. The astronomical seasons begin on about the 20th of these months, so our Autumn begins in a month.
