A Beautiful Sublime Sunday - Strange Occurences, Last of the Wildflower Blooms and More of the Full Moon...

(Edited)

After a night with sort of misty rain a strange occurrence happened with the morning dew. The early morning sunlight was hitting the tree tops just right to show off the spiderwebs on the upper branches.

I never imagined there would be spiders up so high (these were 40' tall spruce trees) and if it weren't for the heavy dew and sunlight hitting the spiderwebs just right I never would have known.

After the rains, when it is a lovely morning, the birds seem to be much more active and I captured one flying above the tree tops...

Here is a close up of that dewy spiderweb on top of the tree.

The light was very interesting playing on the dewy branches...

Here is a closeup of those spiderwebs, they were perfectly spun.

Here is another tree with spiderwebs on it with a closeup...

Not only were there spiderwebs on the tops of the towering spruce trees but also the berry bushes below.

I wanted to share with you some of the last photos of some wildflowers which are pretty much done now as the season is changing.

The photo below was taken when the fireweed was in full bloom and starting to make seed. You can tell what time of year it is by how the blooms have progressed up the fireweed stock. These were taken a couple of weeks ago and now the leaves are turning there red Fall color.

Another wildflower out in bloom this time of year is the dogbane which didn't seem to be a bane for the dogs at all as you can see in the photo below...

I'll end off with some more photos i had taken of the full moon. I shared a bunch of them in a previous post but I had quite a collection of them so I'll share a few more here.

Spider nests so high up strategically placed to catch anything moving up through the trees, clever pantry high up in tree.

Lovely flowers to gracefully bow out the end of summer months, another wonderful walk in nature @porters

Those spider webs almost look painted white when you shoot them with the sun on them :)
