MyPictureDay - Wednesday Walk - Rising With the Sun and New Feathered Friends...
Oh it was a glorious morning as I rose to view the gold in the treetops which morphed into amazing cloud formations high above touched by the rising sun!

Back to the sunrise and the arising cloud formations making for some fantastic scenes - I was awe struck gazing at the sight above me and all around me! And so happy I got up to take some photos!

A little later in the morning I took my dog out for his walk and found a tamarack tree had fallen down across our lane but was hung up on the golden willows so we could walk under it. there had been a lot of trees coming down in this area with a few wet years having them growing in standing water then we had some strong winds which toppled them over. but there is regenation of new species like willow, red osier dogwood and mountain ash which seem to fair better in moist conditions.

Our lane way is very lush with all the rain fall and so was the hill top with all the fresh new growth - oh how I love Spring!

On the way home I spied some magpies in the field and was able to get a close up as it watched me and also as it took off. They usually take off once they spy me but this one was far enough away that I didn't frighten him the same. I used my zoom to get a closer shot. I think they are beautiful birds with their long tail feathers!

The other new bird I saw was the house wren. I had heard it's beautiful cheery song then got a closeup as it sang from a fence board.

Awesome Wednesday Walk post, @porters. You always have such an amazing collection of pictures in your posts. It’s lovely to be with sunrise, I bet! (I’m kind of a night owl these days, so I have to content myself with sunsets!)
Sunsets are beautiful too!
It's often the gold in the treetops that gets me up out of bed for it usually means a glorious day!
Glad you enjoyed my post and thank-you for visiting it!
That gold on the trees was incredible! Magpies! Not a bird we see here... So green, it makes me think back to early May and those photos...
We had a real wet year this year but our spring is probably a month behind where your spring would be at. And just think it is almost the longest day of the year then they start to shorten again - too quick!
I know, tomorrow! Already!
Beautiful nature walk! Totally love this... It was all white earlier... Now it's all green! And you have so many feather friends too... Also not to forget the beautiful gold on top of the trees...
Those treetops in the sun are really special indeed - it's as if they are on fire :)

Beautiful photos! I love magpies, too, but only have seen them when I am traveling. I didn't have any wrens move into my wren house this year and I miss having them nearby.
Some people consider the magpie a nuisance but I have a hard time fathoming that for it's not very often I see them close up. I guess they can do some damage to your landscaping including fruit trees but that is not a problem here.
I loved the wrens cheery song and how they flit around in the trees. Hopefully your wrens will be back next year!
Beautiful photos! Thanks for share with us! I really love and enjoy the nature and the views...
