How I made a simple bubu gown for grandma for the celebration of her daughter's birthday
Hello hiveians
A beautiful Monday morning to you all on this lovely day, I hope you all are doing great just as I am.
It's another beautiful Monday @needleworkmonday where we the #needleworkers show case our creativity on #needlework and today, it's my pleasure to bring to you the making of a simple bubu gown for our grandma for her daughter's birthday.
Grandma is my client mother whom has been staying with her for a while now, I made a simple cut together gown with sleeves for her as a gift during Christmas and she was pleased with the dress and this time, when her daughter's birthday is just around the corner in few days time, I was asked to make another beautiful gown for grandma so I decided to make this bubu gown with the fabric her daughter who is my client bought for her.
All I did was just to fold the material into two to cut the front bodice and after which it was placed on the remaining folded fabric to cut out the back bodice.
I folded the fabric using 20", then I cut out the neckline 3½ by 4" with 2" shoulder slant and the back neckline, I used 3½ by 2" then the two were sewn together on the right side with 12" inward straight downward.
Finally, the neckline were piped using bais tape and this is the finished dress.
I love the little designs on the material it good so nice and the style you made too am sure she’ll like it @bimpcy thanks for sharing

What a clever construction, I never heard of this kind of dress before. I imagine it is very comfortable to wear.
I had to think of something simple to make since I'm making it for a grandma, this is one of the simple dress you can make in a hurry, it is easy and comfortable to wear. Thanks for your comment @neumannsalva .
