Remaking my Lovely Vitafoam Pillow

avatar

Hi everyone.

Pillows are fun most especially in cold times. It has a way of warming you up.

Pillows can give one a very romantic sensation most especially if you are single as I am. But what happens when your pillow gets torn. You throw it away right. Maybe I don't cause they are a bit expensive over here.

I once heard a senior friend of mine making a passing statement about pillows, said pillows serves the place of a woman for a man who is not yet married and I think I don't know what he meant when he said that.

Today I will show us how I fixed up my pillow that has been without use for a long time.

Just anybody can make a pillow without acquiring any special training for that and today I will be sharing my experience while I was fixing mine up.

Meanwhile, it took me about four days to be completely finished with the pillow not because that's how it is supposed to be but because I had to leave it to do other important things that demanded more attention than the pillow.

I think that a pictoral Process will best explain the whole thing so let me show you pictorially and will explain the process at intervals.

The Process

Oh my... Could that be what we rest our heads on? Yeah that thing is called ply foam. Something like a full foam cut into piece.

Just stock them into your four corner sown material. White is preferred. It would be nice if thicker and heavier. You know pillows are romantic so you got to give it some special treat knowing you're gonna get back same afterwards.

After stocking up the ply foam into the cloth, seal it up remember that until God sealed up Adams side after taking out one of his rib bones, he was not yet ready to do all he had to do and I know you wouldn't like it being open and that means your ply foam could pour out at anytime.

Now this is where I introduced a thread and needle to the work.

And I guess that's all oooo. Yeah that's just all about it. It is not really a big thing like I said so the last time you throw your pillow away because it torn might be the last time always because I have shown how to fix it.

Just incase you don't know how to use tread and needle to stitch stuffs I will explain it here briefly.

There are basically ten methods of stitching so anyone can go pending on what you want and how you like it.

  • Running Stitch

How nice that you were encouraged to recover your pillow. I'm a fan of pillows, I find them decorative, and they also provide comfort. Greetings.
