I JUST CREATE A NEW BAG DESIGN WITH TWO SHORT HANDLES CROSSING EACH OTHER USING A LIGHT GREY LEATHER WITH A LOCK AND MAGNET TO SECURE IT. HERE IS HOW I GOT IT DONE.

Good morning needleworkers,

This morning I want to share with us my latest bag design. This bag was designed by myself and this is the first time I'm creating the bag.

Description of the bag

The bag is a mini size with a height of 6.5inches and it has two short handle at the top crossing each other, a bag lock at one side and also a magnet at the other side to secure the bag. It also has a longer rope and this time I decided to use small D rings attached to the bag through sewing of the sides unlike how I normally fixed it.

MATERIALS USED

• Leather of choice
• Soft Fibre
• Leather-board
• Bottom pins
• D rings
• Adjuster
• Anchor
• Magnet

PROCESS

• First step was I marked out the pattern, transfer it on fibre and leather of choice. Next I cut it out and gummed them together. For the sides, I used soft black leather I place of the Fibre to give it flexibility.

• Next I sew the upper leather part of the lining to the Suade lining beneath. Also I sew the two short handles as seen below.

• Next I fixed the handle. I made cutting 1inch inside and 0.7inch below and above. Then I made a 1inch cutting. Inside those 4cuttings, I fixed the handles. Next I used a strong glue to gummed them together.

• Here I gummed the upper part of the lining to the bag, fixed the lock and bottom pins then I gummed the remaining part of the lining. To the sides I also gummed the lining to the sides and trimmed the edges.

• Finally, I glued the D rings to the sides and I sew the sides together with the main body of the bag.
