Amigurumi - Personajes peruanos #8: Feliz día de la papa / Happy Potato Day

Y llegó el día de la papa…. Si bien la papa es un cultivo peruano, en Perú es algo más, es parte de nuestra cultura. Siendo este día un homenaje a los agricultores de este cultivo. Contamos con más de 98 papas modernas y 3000 papas nativas.

Esta, es un ingrediente importante en la gastronomía peruana. Además, hay variedades de papa específicas para algunos platos. Por ejemplo, la “papa amarilla” se utiliza para la causa rellena, papa rellena, etc, la “única” es por lo general para fritura, la “andina” y “yungay” son para gran parte de platos en general, entre otras.

Although the potato is a Peruvian crop, in Peru it is something more, it is part of our culture. This day is a tribute to the farmers of this crop. We have more than 98 modern potatoes and 3000 native potatoes.

This, is an important ingredient in the Peruvian gastronomy. In addition, there are specific potato varieties for some dishes. For example, the "yellow potato" is used for the stuffed cause, stuffed potato, etc., the "unique" is usually for frying, the "Andean" and "yungay" are for many dishes in general, among others.

A tejer:

Si bien el año pasado tejí las flores de papa, para esta ocasión realicé algunos ajustes al patrón. Además, este año cuento con mayor diversidad de tonalidades de colores (y eso motiva). La figura 1 y 2, muestran las partes de la que consta la flor de papa, tenemos a los estambres, pistilos, sépalos y pétalos.

While I knitted the potato flowers last year, I made some adjustments to the pattern for this occasion. Also, this year I have a greater diversity of color shades (and that's motivating). Figure 1 and 2, show the parts of the potato flower, we have the stamens, pistils, sepals and petals.
