Half way through

Hello Hive and our beautiful needlework family.

Out of the abundance of peace joy and good health I feel this morning I will like to appreciate each and every one of you for been amazing and the best version of yourselves.
Thank you for all you do to keep this family fun filled and homely, from our talented authors to the admin and every one working to give us the beautiful peace we see everyday.

I will also like to congratulate all the winners of this weeks challenge in advance for the strong will, zeal and effort you made to put in an entry. Not everyone may be healthy or have the opportunity but we all did our very best.

Never forget that we all are winners in different ways. Our talents and creativity differ and carries a uniqueness that gives us victory over every beautiful we create.

Now if you are planning to win this contest, there are thing you must have avoided unlike me.

I already blew up the teaser 😂😂😂, with a little understanding of what I knew, it was clearly stated that I was making a simple tulle jacket.

But am quite sure you weren't expecting this.

Next to note will be that you hopefully wouldn't be submitting a project that is half way through.

😂😂😂😢😢😭😁😊

That is for the mix feeling.
I didn't see it coming, never knew I will get sick in between, the weather got cold because of excess rain and I was careless with, well it did knock me down.

I have a condition that defies extreme weather be I cold or hot.
In summary I had another episode of sickle cell crisis.

Then came a pause on my work and medical treatment with bed rest.

Before then i was able to cut and sew this together.

What's left

I do like a bit of embroidery and glits for this piece I made, I got some pearl and embellishing stones but couldnt sit to get them attached to the kimono jacket.

Now what have I made?

I see designers naming their brands and giving beautiful names attached to every piece they make but for this jacket I know its just a jacket but I do wish I can give it a name.

Can this be used for a nighty?.
Maybe the sequence will make that itchy and uncomfortable

It won't be a bad idea for this to be used for a bridal shower.
Just a little touch of embellishing and this will come glittery...

What I have Learnt and a little helpful tip.

For a next project, challenge or contest you have to understand the concept, prepare for emergencies such has one that gave me a drawback and hold on to fate to lead your way.

Don't mind that green brassieres strap showing underneath. (I do that only ladies see that and that I didn't bring this to your notice in the writeup 🙀😬)
Completely forgot I would be needing a blue one foe the shots, but honestly how many of you have all the colors of brassieres you needed 😂😂😂

I had better stop writing else the words will keep flowing, like am beginning to enjoy writing.

The vest is absolutely beautiful! You’re right, I was not expecting this, wow! I can definitely see this being worn at a bridal shower or some kind of semi dressy occasion.

I am so sorry to hear about your health conditions and I hope you are feeling better now.

You didn’t blow up your teaser. We wanted everyone to tease in their own creative way. There were others who also shared what they were making but didn’t reveal the final project…this was the key ;)

Very nicely done ~

Oh noooooo, so sorry you got a flare up! I hope it recedes super fast and that you feel better soon. And I am amazed that you despite the illness managed to sew this amazing vest. You are nearly done (and in comparison to me you still extremely speedy with sewing :-DDD) I love the sequence of fabrics, the blue and the gold. The vest or kimono- not sure how this is called - looks very festive to me. I can imagine this on a formal party or a special date. It looks wonderful on you <3
And I feel you on the thin and slippery fabric, I am trying to sew a blouse and the farbic I have chosen look cute bit is sooooo thin an slippery, I found it really tough to cut it neatly.
