Kicking start this week's showcase is a beautiful and detailed story cum tutorial by @tesmoforia in creating a traditional italian dress for a little girl. She brings us through her journey from how the idea of the dress started until the creation of it and the result is simply gorgeous.

@lauramica couldn't contain her excitement in unboxing a lingerie sewing kit that she received as a birthday gift. Despite her ill sewing machine, despite feeling under the weather, her eagerness can be felt throughout her article and it is truly infectious :)

If you have not heard of Punch-in needles before, @sarimanok's gives an introduction to this form of embroidery. The needles are interesting and will surely trigger curiosity in some of us to find out more about this technique.

The smile on @monica-ene's face says it all. Her second attempt of smocking her blouse for herself gave a beautiful and satisfying result, the way she wanted it to turn out. All she needs now is a pretty skirt to go with it.

Many of us find calmness in needlework and @neumannsalva finds hers in starting new projects particularly to counter Mondays that can be a little hard to get by. Although she has more unfinished projects in her stash but here she shares a few completed ones that makes her heart happy and ours too when reading her :)

Thank you so much for featuring my post. It is so inspiring to be a member of this community. I got so many lovely comments on my post and all the suggestions were super helpful. I think it is the first time I stop to work on a project for which I have chosen the wrong yarn, instead of finishing and then not wearing it :-D
And as every Monday I am amazed at all the divers needleworks which are presented: wonderful posts @tesmoforia @sarimanok @monica-ene and @lauramica <3

Thank you for featuring post, I got to read about @tesmoforia lovely Italian dress and @neumannsalva awesome Monday post but I must have missed out of @lauramica birthday present and now its on the spotlight and I have to check out her excitement and congratulate her myself.
The punching needles by @sarimanok are quite new to me, now I can go see for myself.

I used to make garterized dress for my kids during their younger days. And of course, those national costumes on United Nations Day! I will show you some of their cute outfits. Well, I miss those days. They're all grown ups now. Sigh...
I am still positive to learn knitting one of these days. Perhaps I will be able to hung my first knitted socks this Christmas! Lol!
