Guess the WIP

Good day fellow Hiveans! I usually post my guess the WIP on Tuesdays but I had to postpone so I can join the Hive Power Up Day yesterday. And as if my crocheting was also part of the HPUD, I also just started my WIP for the week today.

For this week's WIP, I was inspired by @jonalyn2020's pattern of her DIY crochet bag. I remember one of her tips to being an effective crocheter: Do not copy the entire pattern. I did not entirely copy the pattern, I just used the technique on how to make that beautiful diamond-like pattern for the mesh I like to achieve.

Buying yarns is not considered a hobby

I used the recycled cotton yarn I hoarded collected from months ago. I stopped buying new yarns (as a hobby) since July because I am running out of storage space. Especially if I need to buy yarns for commissioned works. Anti yarn hoarding tip: To avoid the rush of wanting to buy new yarns, close that facebook app, uninstall those online shopping apps, and just take a look at all the yarns that you collected and promised to make something with. And repeat this in your head: "Just because the yarn cake looks cool doesn't mean you need to buy it."

This project will need bigger stitches to make it a bit flexible so I used a 3.5mm crochet hook using loose tension on every stitch. The end product will need to be big. My daughter will surely love this project. I on the other hand am excited about the purpose it will serve. It will be composed of mesh style all over, a bit big, and will be off the floor.

The reveal will still be on Monday, so wish me luck. A slowpoke like me, giving myself another pressure-filled project. Participants get to guess only once and three correct guessers will receive 100% upvote good for 7 days. All participants will get an equal share of the HBD rewards of this post.

Oooo... I am guessing a hammock? Or a hammock chair?

Haha!

"Just because the yarn cake looks cool doesn't mean you need to buy it."

Yup, I am guilty of that. I need to repeat your mantra. Gosh... How?? I am a yarn hoarder! :P
Hey, thank you for the prize upvotes and share for your contests. I don't think I have thanked you yet. Sorry about that.

No worries and you're very much welcome. Thank you too for always stopping by and joining this mini-contest of mine. :)

I too am a certified yarn hoarder. There are times I can't fight the call of the yarn. LOL. I just had a yarn delivery yesterday. And there's another one coming these next few days. Maybe an occasional slip up. haha

How about an embelishment that will look like a flower onto a fabric pillow?? (from now on, I will make suggestions instead of guess, hehe)
I also stopped buying both yarn and fabric 3 years ago and I have to make a giveaway if I move out again!

LOL! I will take note of your suggestion.

It's hard not to buy those beautiful yarn cakes but we have to fight the urge. LOL
