Appearance is a key || Freestyle Your Fashion

It's Saturday dear needleworkers, I want to tell you a about a fashion designer called Dolapo and how she uses her sewing for heal essence.

Once upon a time, there lived a talented young fashion designer named Dolapo. She was known for her creativity and innovative designs, which had the power to evoke a wide range of emotions in those who wore them.

Dolapo had a deep connection to her work, pouring her heart and soul into each garment she created. Her studio was her sanctuary, and her designs were her emotional captives. With every stitch, she wove a piece of her own feelings, experiences, and dreams into her creations.

One faithful day, a client named Amira entered her office. Amira was a successful businesswoman who had lost touch with her emotions. Her life had become a monotonous routine of meetings and deadlines, leaving no room for the vibrancy of human feelings.

Dolapo saw this as an opportunity to use her fashion as a means of emotional liberation. She carefully listened to Amira's story, absorbing the pain and frustration that lay beneath her stoic exterior. Dolapo was determined to create something that would break the emotional chains that bound Amira.

Over the next few weeks, Dolapo worked tirelessly, pouring her empathy into a one-of-a-kind dress for Amira. It was a masterpiece that reflected the emotions Amira had long suppressed. The dress featured a mix of vibrant colors and intricate patterns, symbolizing the hidden emotions that yearned to break free.

When Amira tried on the dress, something magical happened. The moment she looked at herself in the mirror, she couldn't help but smile. Tears welled up in her eyes, and her emotions surged to the surface. The dress had unlocked the captive feelings she had buried for so long.

Dolapo's designs had the power to transform people, not just in appearance but in their emotional state. Through her work, she freed Amira from the emotional captivity that had ensnared her, and in doing so, she realized the true potential of fashion – to express, liberate, and heal the human soul. From that day forward, Dolapo 's creations continued to weave stories of emotion, captivated within the threads of her remarkable fashion designs.

This is a brief story behind this beautiful gown I made for a client going through a period of depression, she become lively and jumping for joy with this gown I made for her.

Materials needed;
5yard of Kampala fabric
Half yard of plain black material
Stones
Zipper

After I took her measurement she told me she needed it urgently and she needs the material to glitters so I thought of adding stones even though it would be stressful for me.

I cut the fabric according to her she want it. she said I want it to be a free gown. I folded the fabric and input her measurement and cut.

I also recorded she mentioned that the dress should have zipper at the front and opening at the down.

Then the sleeve is a puff sleeve with rubber at the end of the hand to give it a bit of firmness. Also, to stone the body for glitters.

When she fitted the dress, she hugged me several times to thank me for coming through even with the time frame.

Picture did not do justice to this beautiful gown at all. When I remember I always want my sewing to bring happiness to my clients faces, I am cool with the stress I went through.

Till I write again, love you all🥰
