Estando de compras con mi esposo, llamó mi atención una tienda de ropa que decía ofertas al 2x1. Eso me intereso y le dije a mi esposo para entrar, el objetó que no, pero no podía quedarme con la duda de saber cuáles eran esas ofertas, y decidí entrar.

While shopping with my husband, my attention was caught by a clothing store that said 2x1 offers. That interested me and I told my husband to enter, he objected that no, but I could not be left with the doubt of knowing what those offers were, and I decided to enter.

Revisando me encontré con muchas franelas extra grandes y enseguida vino a mi mente que podía renovarlas y hacerle a mi hijo ropa para su día a día, entonces compre 6 franelas de diferente color cada una (gris, azul oscuro, azul claro y otra blanca) al terminar de cancelar, nos dimos cuenta que la hora del almuerzo se acercaba y nos apresuramos por llegar a casa, y en el camino iba pensando en lo que le haría a mi bebe.

Reviewing I found many extra large flannels and it immediately came to my mind that I could renew them and make my son clothes for his day to day, so I bought 6 flannels of a different color each (gray, dark blue, light blue and another white) When we finished canceling, we realized that lunchtime was approaching and we hurried to get home, and on the way I was thinking about what I would do to my baby.

A las 3:30 de la tarde ya descansada y sumamente relajada me puse manos a la obra, tome 2 franelas, la gris y la azul oscuro junto con otros materiales, para hacerle un conjunto al niño

At 3:30 in the afternoon, already rested and extremely relaxed, I got down to work, I took 2 flannels, the gray one and the dark blue one along with other materials, to make a set for the child

Manos a la obra

Para empezar, con la cinta métrica le hice las medidas a mi hijo, luego dibuje y corte los patrones en hojas reciclable (talla para niño de un (1) año ya que esa es la edad de mi hijo), teniendo listo mis materiales, empiezo

Let's do it

To begin, with the tape measure I made the measurements for my son, then I drew and cut the patterns on recyclable sheets (size for a child of one (1) year since that is my son's age), having my materials ready, start

Paso 1). Tome la franela gris para la parte superior (franela) y la franela azul para la inferior (short).

Step 1) . Take the gray flannel for the top (flannel) and the blue flannel for the bottom (short).

Paso 2). Extendí la franela gris y por encima coloque mis patrones para cortar. Corte las dos piezas tanto delantera como trasera, y con la franela azul corte 3 tiras que serían la parte del cuello y las mangas para darle a mi franela doble color.

Step 2). I spread the gray flannel and on top I placed my patterns to cut. Cut the two pieces both front and back, and with the blue flannel cut 3 strips that would be the neck and sleeves to give my double color flannel.

Paso 3). Procedí a unir las piezas derecho con derecho para coser la parte de los hombros.

Step 3). I proceeded to join the pieces right to right to sew the shoulder part.

Paso 4). Luego a la tira del cuello les cosí los extremos justo por una de las costuras de los hombros, y empecé a coser dándole doble costura, ya teniendo esta parte lista me dirijo a las mangas.

Step 4). Then I sewed the ends to the neck strap just by one of the shoulder seams, and I began to sew by double stitching it, already having this part ready I go to the sleeves.

Paso 5). Tome las tiras de las mangas y les di puntadas a mano para evitar descuadre al momento de coser, después cosí desde las mangas hacia los costados, por último el ruedo dándole doble costura.

Step 5). I took the sleeve strips and I hand-stitched them to avoid mis-square when sewing, then I sewed from the sleeves to the sides, finally the hem giving it double stitching

Terminada la franela prosigo con el short, esta parte me resulta mucho más sencilla.

After the flannel I continue with the shorts, this part is much easier for me.

Paso 1) Coloque encima de la franela azul los patrones y corte cuatro (4) piezas tanto delantera como trasera.

Step 1) Lay the patterns on top of the blue flannel and cut four (4) pieces both front and back

Paso 2) La parte delantera junte derecho con derecho y le cosí el tiro, lo mismo hice con la parte trasera

Step 2) The front part joined right with right and I sewed the shot, the same I did with the back part

Paso 3) Cosí ambos costados de cada pieza y también la entre pierna.

Step 3) I sewed both sides of each piece and also the between leg

Paso 4) Cada extremo de la elástica las uní y cosí a la costura de la pieza trasera y estirando poco a poco la elástica empecé a coser para darle un arruche a la pretina. No tuve necesidad de hacerle ruedo al short ya que acomode los patrones cuadrando el ruedo de la franela que cortaría.

Step 4) I joined each end of the elastic and sewed to the seam of the back piece and gradually stretching the elastic I began to sew to give the waistband a crease. I had no need to roll the shorts as I arranged the patterns by squaring the hem of the flannel I would cut.
