A double breasted pocket with covers @smilestitches😊

Good morning my cute friends😊 it’s a pleasure writing you you guys again, how are we all doing , I trust we’re all fine 😊 and our business are doing perfect too, well...........myself am not doing bad either, my health is perfect. Just that this season is so frozen, I barely have the strength bath normal Water without boiling it 😂, mom always shouts for me that I’ll finish the gas ⛽️ 😂 I don’t care my own is I don’t want cold to finish me 😂 and regardless am doing fine by the way. My business is also running smoothly all thanks to God who has made everything perfect 👌 for me.
So friends as we all have it, it’s a brand new week of creative for us and am fully loaded this week, so firstly I want to share with us a wonderful mind blowing outfit I made for a client of mine, the outfit is very simple but it’s really lovely and the fabric too was superb so I just had to calm down and make it looks beautiful. If there’s anything that gingers a fashion designer to do an amazing job on a fabric is when the fabric looks so lovely, who wants to ruined a lovely fabric such as this 😂 no one and not me either 😂 so I just had to take my time and make it look nice.

Items used:

1. My fabric
2. Plain black fabric
3. Band gum
4. Paper gum
5. A long black readymade zip
6. A matching thread for both colors.

Sewing processes:

First step:

I lay the fabric and drew out the measurement of my client on it and I cut out the front, after that I used the front to cut out the rest part of the outfit like the back view, both sleeves, facing for the back too.

Second step:

I took out the front ironed out a straight line at the middle of the front to help me when designing so I won’t end up making a design that’s not straight and it wouldn’t be nice on the fabric.

Third step:

I took the plain back fabric to the iron and I ironed and bend it 4inch size and 5.5inches length and took the other main fabric and I ironed the fabric same size as the black one and I first lay the main fabric on the front first and I lay the black under it and u sew them both to the left side of the front to form a pocket there.

Fourth step:

After sewing them to the front, I cut the paper gum size 6inches and length 6inches and I made two, gummed one on the black and the other on the main fabric, now I made a pocket cover using same measurement I used to make the pocket, I then use that same measurement to form the pocket cover after that I sew and turned it to the front side and I sewed it to the top part of the pocket and I did same to the other one and my front was ready.

I then piped the the neck with black

I added the readymade zip on the left side of the front and I trimmed the shoulders and inserted the both sleeves and my outfit was ready when I joined the body and bend the length 🤣.
