Instructions to make the base of the top / Instrucciones para hacer la base del top

1.-Do 22 start Ch. + 3 Ch. to go up. Turn to place the first Dc. on the fourth Ch., and then continue working a Dc. for each Ch. until you reach the last. In total there should be 23 Dc. or 12 cm, this measurement is the width of the base of the top for all sizes.

2.-You go up with 3 Ch., turn and do 1 Dc. in that same first stitch, then you knit Dc. taking only one of the two strands that form at the base, the one on the back side (see photo). You distribute in this way 1 Dc. for each space until reaching the penultimate where you knit the Dc. normally taking the two strands. The last space is left unwoven. Each line must always have 23 Dc. in total or 12 cm.

We put the hook in the 2nd strand at the base of the stitch / Metemos el ganchillo en la 2da hebra de la base del punto

3.-Repeat the above crocheting the number of lines according to the size: 58 (S), 60 (M) 62 (L) = 54 cm (S), 56 cm (M), 58 cm (L).

3.-Se repite lo anterior tejiendo el número de líneas según la talla: 58 (S), 60 (M) 62 (L) = 54 cm (S), 56 cm (M), 58 cm (L).

005.JPG

This is what the base of the top looks like, like an elastic band. Look at the waves that are formed above and below, product of crocheting at the beginning 2 Dc. in the same space and at the end of the line, leave the last Dc. non-woven / Así queda la base del top, como una banda elástica.

Instructions for making the cups / Instrucciones para hacer las copas

1.- Make starting Ch.: 14 (S), 16 (M), 18 (L) = 7 cm (S), 9 cm (M), 11 cm (L) + 3 Ch. to go up. Turn to place the first Dc. in the fourth Ch. and then continue to make 1 Dc. for each Ch. until the penultimate.

2.- When you reach the last Ch., knit 2 Dc., make a Ch. in the air and knit 2 more Dc. in the same Ch. (see photo). Then continue making 1 Dc. per space to the end.

2.- Al llegar a la última Ca. se tejen 2 Pa., se hace una Ca. al aire y se vuelven a tejer 2 Pa. más en la misma Ca. (ver foto).

DSCF3005.JPG

This is how we knit in the last stitch to form the curve of the cup / Así tejemos en el último punto para formar la curva de la copa

3.- Go up with 3 Ch. and turn to continue knitting Dc. until you reach the Ch. that you knit in the air, there you repeat the increase that you did in the first round, that is, you knit 2 Dc., then a Ch. in the air and 2 more Dc.

In the last round we do, when we reach the point before the gap or chain in the air, you go up with 210 Ch. or 100 cm of Ch. and then knit Hdc. over them, this is the tie strap of the top that will cross in the back .

When we reach the cup again, we glue the strip of Hdc. knitting a Dc. in the stitch that follows the central space, and we continue knitting Dc. until the cup is finished, where instead of cutting the thread we leave it approximately 30 cm so that with it we can sew the cup to the base.

Lines to knit for each size: 7 (S), 8 (M), 9 (L).

Vueltas a tejer para cada talla: 7 (S), 8 (M), 9 (L).

Cup width at its base: 14 cm (S), 16 cm (M), 18 cm (L).

Ancho de la copa en su base: 14 cm (S), 16 cm (M), 18 cm (L).

Cup height from the center of the base to the tip: 15 cm (S), 17 cm (M), 19 cm (L).

Altura de la copa desde el centro de la base hasta la punta: 15 cm (S), 17 cm (M), 19 cm (L).

DSCF3008.JPG

When we reach the last line of the cup, at the point before the space formed by the Ch. in the air, in this way we go up with chains to form the tie strip of our top / Cuando llegamos a la última vuelta de la copa, en el punto anterior al espacio formado por la Ca. al aire, así subimos con cadenas para formar la tira de amarre de nuestro top

4.- We knit the other cup in the same way.

DSCF3010.JPG

DSCF3011.JPG

5.- We knit the strip that goes between the two cups, for that we make 250 Ch. or 126 cm of chains and on them we make Hdc.

Instructions for assembling the top / Instrucciones para armar el top

1.- We take the base of the top, we count the woven lines or rows according to the size (58 - 60 - 62) and we place a mark in the middle.

DSCF3012.JPG

2.- We place the cups at the base of the top so that there are 3 lines of space between them in the center.

DSCF3013.JPG

3.- We take care that the lines of the cups coincide with those of the base so that the union is harmonious, we also count that on each side the number of lines that remain is the same.

4.- With a yarn needle and the thread that we leave about 30 cm in each cup, we proceed to sew the cups at the base.

DSCF3016.JPG

5.- We hide the loose threads all over the top.

6.- We take the strips from the cups and cross them at the back, inserting the strip at the height of the 7th line on the sides of each cup. Then we are also crossing them at the ends of the base, introducing them every three spaces until finished.

7.- To place the strip that goes between the two cups, the ends are inserted into the 2nd space of each cup from the base and they are crossed. Four stitches are skipped between inserts, there should be five or six left on each side.

DSCF3030.JPG

In this way we cross the strips on the back / De esta manera cruzamos las tiras en la espalda

DSCF3028.JPG

And so we insert the strip on the outside of each cup / Y así insertamos la tira en la parte externa de cada copa

DSCF3035.JPG

Finally, this is how our top looks when we also place the strip that goes between the two cups / Finalmente, así queda nuestro top al colocarle también la tira que va entre las dos copas

DSCF3032a.jpg

Well, girls and boys too (I have seen many who knit), I hope you are encouraged to make this top, I have knitted it in various colors by customer requests, and in all of them it is very beautiful.

Hello and welcome to the needleworkmonday community <3 And you are starting with such a lovely design. I love to crochet too but never made such a top, it is still on my to crochet list. It is interesting how you made the straps for the top, this looks very sophisticated (in my eyes). And I am looking forward to see more of your designs.

Every week needleworkers from around the globe get together to share our work, patterns, tips, ideas and shortcuts as we support one another. Our goal is to inspire the Hive blockchain to give crafting a try.

On Monday’s we use the #needleworkmonday tag and on all other days we use the #needlework tag without the word Monday attached. We share and post our work directly from the Community page.

We encourage our members to share the process of their work through photos (as you have done so above). This not only validates your work but it takes us along the creative journey with you :)

For more information about what we do and for our posting guidelines please visit our FAQs or ask in our discord channel.
See you soon

Saludos.

I love this so much. The color is so beautiful and you crotchet so neatly. This has given me an inspiration on my next bralette I'd be sewing. I'll try to replicate this pattern.
