Knitting A Warmer ~ Double Crochet

img_1618460648819.jpg

I don't know how well this represents my character but I know I have always loved a warmer since I was little.
I had a handful of them. Every time I go to the market to buy I will always make sure that I have little balance with me to buy one or two of them.

My mother complained a lot, my warmer usually goes with a sweater which is also a warmer, body warmer.
It came to a point that every time I wanna knit, it always circles between knitting a head warmer, neck warmer, or table cover. I knew how to knit other things but I just didn't like knitting other things.

Knitting is one of the many things I love doing and I don't know if beading can be considered as needlework cause I do loving beading too even though I haven't shared my work for a while now except for the ones I did some years ago

For this project, I needed just two wools to make it.
I choose white and red color wool, my best color. My best color is red and I usually like accompanying it with white color because the two go well and looks so much better when combined

It took me about three hours to finish this work and I must say, I was really all out to finish it up. I would have continued with the knitting but it was already too long and anything longer than this for a warmer, I really don't know what they will call it lol.

The reason why I knitted it in the pattern you are seeing is because I wanted to have it stretched. I learned there are specific types of wool that has the elasticity ability naturally, I couldn't find such wool around here so I bought the normal knitting and braiding wool we have here and used the step pattern to help it become a little stretchy.

I have really missed knitting and sharing my needleworks in the needlework community but I hope to pick up that skill and continue in the best way I can.
Thanks to #OCD for such an opportunity to be able to start knitting again, I am truly grateful.
Please permit me to show you a few steps and processes of my work.

I will be gifting this to my little cousin when I visit them. I am so glad to be able to participate in this contest and yes, the needleworkmonday community was already a community I loved so much since when I knew about it some years ago and I used to share my works then.
Thank you once again for going through my post and I really hope that the purpose of this highlight contest is accomplished.

Nice crochets, I like the combination of colours, red and white-my favourite colours. I watched my mother knit when I was a child, though she worked using machines, and not hands, she was good at it. There are so much opportunities in knitting as long as new designs are introduced.
Great work

Hey @zellypearl! Yes, you did well in touching on the topic of this contest. Although I don’t always have a warmer on I like to be warm. I get cold so easily so I am always wearing socks, house shoes and a robe lol.

I think the red and white couples well together too. Your hat turned out very nice and I love how bright it is.

Thanks for your entry ~ 🙂
