Hello builders! I made this customized handkerchief for multi-purpose use. As the word speaks for itself, I made this hanky as a second option just in case you happen to forget your face mask or when you dropped it that you need to look for another one to cover your mouth! Here's what you should do: Always keep a spare mask in your pouch/bag just in case to keep you out of risk.

I looked in my closet where I placed my placemats and other smaller cuts of fabrics. I found this linen which is just the exact size for a handkerchief. See, it's really advantageous to keep these little things for future use!

You need to pull a thread on the sides to make a perfect line and cut it by following the straight line without measuring.

Next, I zigzagged the edges twice instead of making tiny folds

Since my plan is to convert it to a facemask in case of emergency, I made a little embroidery work at the center part. I applied satin stitching and *back stitching type of embroidery

Having satisfied withe the result, I also embroidered my own emblem. No, it's not a snake guys, it's my stenographic name.:)

Make a three-fold of your handkerchief and you may insert additional tissue if you like.

Keeping rubber bonds and/or hair bonds in your pouch would be an advantage.

Insert the bonds on both ends then fold inwards.

See, it's as easy as 1-2-3! The good thing is that you can wash it afterwards.

The CHO encouraged those who are not frontliners may use washable facemasks to lessen wastes and pollution. There were several reports in the social media as to improper disposal of facemasks which could cause danger to humans and mother nature.

Thank you for dropping by my page and I hope this little remedy using a handkerchief and 2 rubber bonds will be a big help to you as the case may be.

Till then,

@Sarimanok

Tenx sis! I was once good in stenography when I worked as a clerk stenographer though you tend to forget it due to non-usage. Lol! Kinalawang na rin:)
