CABINET REDECORATED WITH CD'S MOSAIC [ENG/ESP]

This was a project for a friend's new store, I worked in that place for a couple of years and it was quite an experience to see its transformation into a new shop-workshop.
An important part of the concept was the reuse of materials, to create something new from what you already have, to give it new life and avoid decapitalizing yourself in the process of decoration and ambience.

For this piece of furniture we used CD's, a lot of different types and colors because they are no longer used and otherwise they would end up in the trash, on the other hand, the work was originally thought in mirrors, which was very expensive and heavy, so with both problems, we came to the solution of making the decoration by recycling CD's that also give a colorful effect even more interesting than the mirror.

I did the job by cutting the CD's with a pair of scissors, which I found efficient, relatively fast, but for that amount of work it wasn't such a good idea, probably better for your hands to use another type of tool. I would have broken the CD's otherwise but they don't break and burst but look chewed up when you fold them.
Once you have made a bunch of pieces, you can sort them by color or however you want, if you plan to make a design, or just glue as they come out, looks good too.

To glue was only necessary white glue diluted in equal parts with water (or until the texture allows to spread it easily with a brush) the pieces of between 3 and 4 cm are placed as you like but I recommend doing it equidistant and spaced, so it will be easy to match pieces because it does not have to be perfect, if you start joining them perfectly, you will want to blow your head off halfway. And the rest of the work is just patience and not trying to move what you already glued because it will fall off.

The finished work is great, a beautiful spot to take pictures with a colorful background.
