Greetings Beloved! Welcoming you all to a new week and a new day. I trust we all had a great weekend and we are all recharged for the new week.
Over the weekend, I was busy with a lot of work but I still squeezed out the time to make my natural product.
This is carrot oil, and it can be used for both hair and skin. I love using natural homemade products, I tend to trust it more than the foreign products that are made and preserved with some chemicals for it to stay or last over a long time.
I was told how great carrot oil is for our natural hair and even our skin, so I decided to give it a try. Though I was directed by a friend on how to make it since it's my first time doing it but I also looked up some tutorials to be sure I was not making mistake or doing it the wrong way.
Here I will show you a few processes of how I made this. But before that, I will like to share a few things I needed for carrot oil making.

Ingredients And Items

  • Fresh Carrots
  • Olive Oil
  • Frying Pan
  • Spoon
  • Empty bottle
  • Grater
  • Big Bowl
  • Filter Or Net Cap

PROCESSES

Before I started with everything, I went to the market to buy some fresh carrots and two bottles of fresh olive oil

I cut out the edges of the carrot (the head and tail) and then I washed it using a big bowl.

When the water was completely drained from the carrots, I used the grater to grater them in pieces.

I must admit it did take a little while before I finished with this, my hands and fingers were aching but I just had to keep doing it.

I took out my two bottles of olive oil, I cut open the cover on them.

I hand scooped the grated carrots and poured them into the oil when it was hot a bit.

And then I added some more grated carrot till the pan was filled up and the oil was enough to take the whole carrots.

I kept on stirring the carrots to make sure it doesn't stick to the frying pan.
And then I left it for some minutes.

About 30 minutes after putting the oil and grated carrot on fire, I waited for that long before putting it out of the heat. To know when your carrot juice has been completely extracted, the oil will turn orange in color, very deep.

I made sure to get all the chaff and peels of the carrot into the net cap.

And this is how much oil I extracted from the carrot.

I took out the carrots from the water and left it in another plate to drain out the water, I rinsed the hand Grater and set aside

IMG_20210501_121229_498.jpg

I noticed there were three different holes on the hand grater, so I used the smallest holes.

IMG_20210501_123432_775.jpg

This is the finished grated carrots. It seems a little bit long and slim in shape and sizes, right?

IMG_20210501_123524_388.jpg

Then I poured it into a frying pan. At first, I didn't turn the whole oil.

IMG_20210501_124631_290.jpg

I kept on pouring the grated carrots bit by bit until the oil was completely occupied by the carrots.

IMG_20210501_125940_413.jpg

I am sure you have noticed that it seemed the oil wouldn't be enough so I poured in the remaining oil

IMG_20210501_125938_156.jpg

After which I used a small spoon to stir the carrot to mix well.
If you noticed, the oil isn't bubbling or boiling. This is because the heat must be at room temperature, and not too hot.

IMG_20210501_130003_803.jpg

This is when the oil started boiling, and the bubbles started coming out, when I noticed this, I realized the oil was getting too hot so I had to reduce the temperature of the heat.

IMG_20210501_131909_591.jpg

I covered the opening of a medium-size plate using the net cap and then I turned the carrot and oil mixture into it.

IMG_20210501_133908_072.jpg

Then I squeezed out the oil from the carrot chaff.

IMG_20210501_133706_731.jpg

I applied the oil extract on my hair and massaged it when I loosen the braid I had on.

I can as well use this carrot oil for my skin. I learned it clears off black spots especially black spots gotten from wounds or injuries.
I will be using it from time to time and share the result with you guys.

I was so happy after making this, now I have a natural homemade oil for my hair and even skin.
You can mix the oil with your body cream if you don't wanna use it raw.

I am sure this is very easy and simple enough for anyone to try at home.
Try using natural homemade products once in a while or sometimes, it could really help.
