A Pencil Impression of "Kevin Wendell Crumb" as played by James McAvoy.

When I first saw the Unbreakable movie many years back with my brother, I thought it as an attempt by a curious experimental writer to see how a usual day to day superhero with a regular life and job would appeal to the populace. But the almost 20 years down the line when James McAvoy was brought into the story to play the role of 'Kevin Wendell Crumb', my entire thinking changed.
Not just because of the storyline but because having known McAvoy for years as a guy who plays the role of a troubled, oftentimes cynical yet logical person, I was startled by the transformation and acting in play.

That particular role is very, very demanding and I'm glad he could pull it off without in anyway harming himself most especially his mental health.

I've not been as updated as I used to be about movies for a couple of years now and it was during the course of this composition that I learnt about the movie 'Split'.
That's one of the reasons I love sketching and most of all blogging, it makes you find out stuffs.

In making this sketch, I tried a Fei Yan brand pencil but I wasn't getting the depths I needed so I switched to my usual when applying depths. I'd love to read your comments on this piece friends, it really excites me..

Thanks friend, it took a lot of layering and a couple of hours to arrive at it though.
