A Pencil Portrait of 'Sir Elton John'
If memory serves me right, I think it's two months now since I made my first Elton John portrait. I did it as a tribute sketch, a Birthday present. It however didn't get much attention. And now two months into the future, I'm back with something I think is better
I've always been an academic rebel and never really cared much for school but the society I find myself in doesn't care about what you you know as long as there's no backing certificate. And because of this, I had to grudgingly attend a class yesterday though the semester has been on for a while now. I attended cause the Professor was my Piano teacher once and I didn't want to look bad...lol.
When the lecture was over (it was a keyboard Harmony class) I hung out with a couple of friends whose faces my absence in school has made distant.
I later on left heading for home which would usually take about two hours if there was no traffic.
Even though the whole day's stress weighed heavily on me, I struggled to make this sketch and saw it to completion.
I'd really appreciate your comments on this one cause I made it with heavy eyes.
Sir Elton John is one of those singers my Uncle always listened to when I was little and though Sacrifice used to be my favourite, it changed after I heard Daniel, (the live version) which happens to be my Big brother's name. Here's his handle @ezun1.
...these are the drawing procedures..
It's always a pleasure having you around folks, thanks for the visit.
So nice, you inspired me 🤗 I might wanna learn portrait and sketch someday
😁 I'm very much flattered.
It'll be nice if you do though, drawing helps clear the mind. It's the perfect hobby.
