Digital Painting of a Cat

Hello bees, I trust that everyone of you is on good health. Well, today i made a digital painting of a cat. Closely looking at the picture will reveal to you a small butterfly setting up on the tail of the cat. Although, this is my first time of trying a digital painting since my new device arrived.
Without taking much of your time, here are steps or procedures I underwent in order to achieve the best painting.

Steps

I started with initiating a particular object i wished to paint which was a cat.

Then i proceeded to colour the tail first. Already, i have no best idea of color to give the butterfly, so I continued with the tail of the cat.

After coloring the tail, I came across this amazing color from the color choices which I tried on the butterfly. It was beautiful at last.

After gotten the desired color of the butterfly, I began to color the tie located at the neck of the cat. This time, I chose this uncommon color with red inside.

Then I started to paint the rest of the body excluding some important parts which I thought of more fitting color to add there.

Then carefully, I coloured the remaining portions with the best fitting colors.

And finally, I picked up a gradient color for the background.
