The Art Journal is a visual diary or a creative journal in which we can experiment with different techniques to express feelings, emotions and creativity. We can use any kind of material, such as paper, paints and so on. I wanted to use mostly paper, so I make use of all the old magazines and newspapers I have at home.

El Art Journal es un diario visual o un diario creativo en el podemos experimentar con diferentes técnicas para expresar sentimientos, emociones y creatividad. Podemos usar cualquier tipo de material, como papel, pinturas y demás. Yo quise usar mas que todo papel, así le doy uso a todas las revistas y periódicos viejos que tengo en casa.

The first thing I do to make a page in my Art Journal, is to look for a phrase that I liked a lot or just based on a specific topic, and then go to develop everything. Where I make my art journal, it is a notebook or artistic notebook that I made myself, with cardboard paper.

Lo primero que hago para realizar una pagina en mi Art Journal, es buscar alguna frase que me haya gustado mucho o simplemente basarme en algún tema en especifico, para luego irme a desarrollar todo. Donde hago mi art journal, es un cuaderno o libreta artística que hice yo mismo, con papel cartulina.

For this art journal I wanted to be inspired by one of my favorite singers at the moment, which is Billie Eilish. I love her music and I think the visuals in her videos are phenomenal. I think I'm going to be painting some of her album covers in my art series soon: Painting Album Covers on Old CDs

Para este art journal me quise inspirar en una de mis cantantes favoritas en este momento, la cual es Billie Eilish. Me encanta su música y los visuales en sus videos me parecen fenomenales. Creo que próximamente voy a estar pintando la portada de algunos de sus álbumes en mi serie de arte: Pintando portadas de Álbumes en CDs viejos

Here I took a paper support that I had thrown in the wastebasket because it had wrinkled, which I thought it was stupid to have thrown away, because if you know how to recycle, that paper will be useful for something else. Which evidently helped me to make the drawing of Billie that I used for this art journal.

Aquí tome un soporte de papel que había tirado en la papelera porque se había arrugado, lo cual me parecido una estupidez haberlo botado, ya que si sabes reciclar, ese papel te servirá para algo mas. El cual evidentemente me sirvió para hacer el dibujo de Billie y que use para este art journal.

I took some papers and cutouts in blue tones, because in the video of when the party's over, Billie's song. She has blue hair, so I wanted to make a background with the same color of her hair. And since in the video she cries black tears, I wanted to add another background inspired by those tears, which I made with black paint.

Tome unos papeles y recortes en tonalidades azules, ya que en el video de when the party's over, canción de Billie. Tiene el cabello de color azul, entones quise hacer un fondo con el mismo color de su cabello. Y ya que en el video llora lagrimas negras, quise agregar otro fondo inspirado en esas lagrimas, las cueles hice con pintura negra.

Use a line from the song that I especially love and is my favorite line from the song, which is:

"But nothing is better sometimes, once we've both said our goodbyes"

That phrase is so sad to me, but so real at the same time. It has to be integrated in this art journal.

Esa frase se me hace tan triste, pera tan real a la vez. Tiene que estar integrada en este art journal.

At the end and to finish, I just glued some dried plants, which are actually a type of weed that always comes out in my garden, but they are like a flower bud that I really like, so I always take some and put them to dry, and then use them in my art journal.

Al final y para terminar, solo pegue unas plantas secas, que en realidad con un tipo de maleza que siempre sale en mi jardín, pero son como un capullo de flores que me gusta mucho, entonces siempre tomo algunas y las coloco a secar, para luego usarlas en mi art journal.
