A few months ago, I started a collection of Pokémon Unown. I mentioned that each one represents a letter of the alphabet and some symbols, and that they’re inspired by ancient symbols and the idea that language has power.

Today I’m sharing another new piece from this impressive alphabet: “The Unown Pokémon corresponding to the letter F”, in the form of a decorative quilling artwork.

I’m sharing this image so you can get an idea of all the different Unown Pokémon that exist, and so you can follow along as I create them and see how similar they are:

Hola a toda mi gente de Hive... 🐱

Hace unos meses comencé una colección de Pokémon Unown, les mencione que cada uno ellos demarcan una letra del alfabeto y algunos símbolos, como tambien que están inspirados en signos antiguos y en la idea que el lenguaje tiene poder.

Para hoy les dejo otra figura nueva de este impresionante alfabeto "El Pokémon Unown que corresponde a la letra F", en forma de una figura decorativa en la técnica de quilling.

• I started by sketching the Pokémon F I’m going to make on a sheet of paper with a pencil.

• I continued by creating the base shape; all Pokémon Unown share this same base—their face—which I then adapt into different shapes and styles. Here’s a link to the first one I made so you can see the step-by-step process; I don’t see the point in repeating it in every post: Pokémon Unown “A.”

• I took some 3 mm wide black tape and made a few folds, applying extra-strong white glue to create a thicker, sturdier strip. I let it dry thoroughly.

• Comencé realizando un boceto en una hoja de papel con un lápiz, del Pokemón F que voy a elaborar.

• Segui haciendo la figura base, todos los Pokémon Unown tiene esta misma base que es su cara para seguir con formas y estilos diferentes. Les dejo el link del primero que hice para que vean el paso a paso, no le veo sentido repetirlo en todos los post, Pokémon Unown "A".

• Tomé cinta negra de 3 mm de ancho con la cual hice algunos dobleces aplicando pega blanca extra fuerte para hacer una cinta más gruesa y resistente. Dejé secar muy bien.

• I took the sketch and used it as a reference.

• Using the thick black strips I had made earlier, I began cutting out the Pokémon’s body parts.

• As you can see in the pictures, I cut out and assembled the pieces exactly as they correspond to the Pokémon, using the sketch as a guide.

• Before gluing the pieces to the Pokémon, I took a pair of scissors and rounded off the edges of the body parts.

• Once the pieces were ready, I glued them to the Pokémon in their respective places.

• Finally, I applied several layers of extra-strong white glue, letting each layer dry before applying the next to protect and laminate this Pokémon.

This is how I finished this Unown Pokémon, which corresponds to the letter “F” of the alphabet, in the form of a decorative quilling figure.

• Tomé el boceto y lo recordé.

• Con las cintas negras gruesas que realicé con anterioridad, comencé a recortar las partes del cuerpo del Pokémon.

• Como puedes ver en las imágenes fui recortando y ensamblando tal cual como corresponden al Pokémon esto con ayuda del boceto.

• Antes de pegar las piezas al pokemon, tomé una tijera y recorte en forma redondeada las partes del cuerpo.

• Una vez lista las piezas, procedí a pegar al Pokémon en el sitio correspondiente.

• Para finalizar apliqué algunas capas de pega blanca extra fuerte, dejando secar entre una y otra para proteger y plastificar este Pokémon.

De esta manera finalice este Pokémon Unown que corresponde a la letra "F" del alfabeto, en forma de una figura decorativa en la técnica de quilling.
