Cociendo para pasar el rato [Esp/Eng]

Hola, ¿qué tal, amigos, cómo están? Por aquí todo muy bien, aunque hoy sí admito que, aparte de calor, sentía así como una tristeza que no me explico, pero me sentía un tanto extraña. La cuestión es que yo digo que ando bien porque también está bien sentirse así de vez en cuando; mal está cuando nos centramos solo en estar tristes todo el día.

Una de mis maneras de drenar mi cuestión y no pensar en nada es cociendo, ya que a mí me gusta mucho y es una actividad que me relaja, así que me puse manos a la obra y busqué mis moldes, aunque, como ya saben, a mí me gusta más coserle a Jade que a mí misma, así que dije: “Vamos a inventar algo con medio metro que tenía de microdurazno rosa y un poquito de tela de tutú.

Hi there, how’s it going, mates? How are you all? Everything’s going really well over here, although I must admit that today, apart from the heat, I felt a sort of sadness I can’t quite explain – I just felt a bit odd. Primero que nada, empecé a cortar mis moldes para la camisita, la cual iba a ser de manga ranglan; me gusta mucho ese modelo porque es diferente y me parece muy cuchi, así que lo primero fue sacar mi molde.

First of all, I started cutting out my patterns for the little top, which was going to have raglan sleeves; I really like that style because it’s different and I think it’s really cute, so the first thing I did was draw up my pattern.

El corte de ranglán se pega más que todo por las mangas; en mi caso, que siempre pego las mangas y cierro, es así porque, al pasar la parte de la cabezita, queda, como quien dice, sin costura y es hasta una misma parte del cuello como tal asi que aqui comence a pegar mis mangas

The raglan cut is mainly sewn together at the sleeves; in my case, as I always sew the sleeves on and finish them off, I do this because, once the head opening is in place, it’s, so to speak, seamless and forms part of the neckline itself, so this is where I started sewing on my sleeves.

Ya una vez pegadas mis mangas de los lados inicie a pegarlas por la parte de abajo para que ya me empezara a dar forma la camisita.

Once I’d stuck the sleeves on at the sides, I started sticking them down at the bottom so that the little top would start to take shape.

Asi como también ya aqui la tenía lista procedi hacerle su borde en el cuellito y las manitas yo se lo hago un poco ajustado porque jade es pequeña asi no le queda enorme.

As I’d already got it ready here, I went ahead and finished off the edge of the collar and the little sleeves. I made it a bit snug because Jade is small, so it won’t be too big on her.

Y aunque la camisita es larga queria darle un toque asi tipo falda pero a la vez no asi que lo que hice fue sacar el molde mas pequeo que tenía de falda porque nunca fue opción que fuera falda como tal sino mas adorno y procedi a cortar y tar con alfileres para dar con el lugar exacto donde debía coser y el resultado me encanto pero la modelo no tenía mucho animo jajajajjaa habia sueño ¡Saludos!

And although the little top is long, I wanted to give it a sort of skirt-like touch, but not quite – so what I did was take the smallest skirt pattern I had, because it was never really meant to be a skirt as such, but more of a decorative detail – and I set about cutting it out and pinning it to work out the exact spot where I needed to sew. I loved the result, but the model wasn’t really in the mood, hahahaha – she was sleepy! Cheers!
