Macrame Support on Headset

avatar

Hello, Hive friends! How are you all?
I hope everyone is doing well and happy. Are you?

Did you join the Power up day on December first?

Without further ado, let me start with my blog for today.

A few weeks ago, I made a support on my headset. I had too much of having my head stet getting tangled in my bag; I was worried that if my husband or my kids will pull it out of my bag, it will be cut because they are not so gentle with the things around them.

At first, I thought crochet would be good but single crochets around the wire are only one-sided so I jumped to macrame instead.

Honestly, It was very hard to do macrame with the headset but I pulled it out, Thank goodness!

Here's how I did it

** I started in the middle of the wire and in the middle of the thread.

I could not use a very long thread because it will only tangle around the wire and will cause more problems.

Before ending the thread, I had to add a new one so that can lock it while doing the rest of the macrame. It worked as a lock and it held on very well.

Doing the macrame on the bigger wire is easy and it went on smoothly.

When I reached the control panel, I did a lot of experiment on how to do it but going on even with a huge gap is still okay. I then continued on the short wire but I struggled a lot because it was thin.

Another problem that I encountered is the edges. I don't have any idea on how to lock the edges so they won't get lose in while in use.

I can't glue them too; I never know how the wire would react with the chemicals. I let the thread hang while I was doing the other parts.

Also, with no other heavy things around, I used the paper puncher to hold the headset while I was doing my work. It was heavy enough for the work and I don't have to ask for anybody's help with it.

Here's what the headset looked like when finished the project! I love how it turned out and it does not tangle so much anymore! wrapping it was the best Idea I had but in the long run, I have to untangle the threads when they get soiled.

Has this kind of idea come into your mind lately?

I hope you enjoyed my blog today! Keep safe and happy!

Hola querida! me pareció genial tu idea de esa forma podemos proteger los cables no solo de los audífonos. Me encanta este tejido también es super relajante hacerlo.
