Until you learn this, you will always live with high peaks of joy, accompanied by a lot of sadness, doubts, anxiety and even depression.
Regardless of what you are doing, always do your best. Of course, you can't start from scratch and reach the top the next day, but every day give your 1% more, you don't need anything more than that, just 1% more every day than you did yesterday will make you WINNER.

Yes, I get that part of keeping a balance. It seems to me that self love will banish all self centeredness. And as it is self love when done right leads to self knowledge and awareness.
