MAGNIFICENT Clouds in MyCalifornia

I don't know what is with skies. I always find myself looking up to the skies.

This is my entry to "Love The Clouds" Contest #98.

Look Up

I was sunset. Almost six PM. It just rained. Outside the front courtyard of my home is a wide and expansive view of the sky. I look up to see an impressively dramatic sight of unusual colors.

You must understand... I am from a place where the sun shines a lot! But it rained the afternoon before and the rest of the day.

And as the clouds are being blown away from here, it leaves something I don't see often... a MAGNIFICENT sunset!

A Side note

I always feel that my camera-phone takes inadequate photos, and feel frustrated when I can't capture the magnificence of this view as I see it in person. This reminds me again to be grateful for the mentoring that @tattoodjay has provided me and the Wednesday Walk challenge he has initiated. He seldom posts nowadays. Still, his influence on me is forever.

A very colourful sky. Looks like an artist's palette.

Like you, I love looking to the sky - to the cloud formation. It never ceases to amaze me. Every time I look up, there is a different scene.

Whatever happened to @tattoodjay? It seems like so many of the photographers I followed disappeared after the Steem/Hive split.

Nice work with the skies. Using a mobile phone for photos is much better than it used to be. That last one is especially nice, with the street light in there. Then again, I always love lamps!

One thing you miht enjoy trying sometime is to take the lens out of a pair of polarized sunglasses. I used to hold those in front of my pnone camera when using a point-and-shoot. It can add volume and contrast to clouds, especially on overcast days or let you cut the glare off of water. It's a little finicky, but has some fun creative potential.

Anyway, nice photos of that dramatic sky!

A beautiful shot with a great sunset that turns the colors of the sky into something we simply watch and simply watch with thoughts that are nothing but a beautiful sunset .... I adore the sunsets
