Anand had started work in May at an egg plant outside Agra, the Covid-19 pandemic had barely reached India. Day after day he went out to work in the best of spirits. Even his low salary did not dampen his attitude towards life, much less after marrying Nisha, a girl he met outside the Taj Mahal.

His job was boring and he spent his day methodically ordering eggs, yet he was offered several cartons of eggs per month and Rs. 3250 per week. However, the company's business had declined due to the pandemic.

The death rate had increased significantly as covid-19 advanced in the city, an atmosphere of sadness covered Agra. Anand had survived 2 job cuts in the last month, everything changed when Anjali the supervisor found out what he had been doing.

Anand had been painting the eggs with smiling faces that he covered with cardboard, he painted on them not only happy faces but also positive messages such as: love yourself, the best is yet to come, love can do it all, don't give up and many others. As he did so, he hid herself by choosing a random egg that he hid in the middle of the cartons. An insurmountable joy filled his heart doing such mischief.

The cartons traveled all over the region causing many people to be surprised by the messages of enthusiasm Anand sent in those eggs. Thousands of e-mails began to flood the company's mailbox as top executives were at a loss to explain what was going on.

The plant supervisor, puzzled, began to investigate the cause of the strange messages and drawings on the eggs. She began by finding out who was distributing the production and came to the conclusion that it was unlikely that this was happening in the warehouses where they were stored. She seemed to be about to give up when he finally realized something.

Anand was a plant employee who had escaped unscathed from several layoffs probably thanks to her help. The supervisor became suspicious of him because he was the only one left alone in the company during the break period. That day she had been hiding behind one of the pens, stunned as she watched Anand take out that pencil and some crayons while hiding some eggs inside his shirt.

Looking everywhere he locked himself in the bathroom, the supervisor managed to run while Anand innocently went into the bathroom. Hiding in that space she could watch while that man drew beautiful strokes on those eggs in a sublime way. Those markers made magic on contact with the surface. As she approached, she noticed the stroke of those incredible millimetrically painted letters.

As she left, Anjali finally glimpsed what she would do with that Anand. Stupefied, she began to draft her letter of dismissal. In the end she decided to summon her best employee to her office. As she was about to enter, Anand seemed to be absorbed by the call. Anjali, with a somber face, was about to sign his letter of dismissal.

— Anand you know that I have been protecting you since you arrived, you are a young and very noble guy but I am not sure that you can stay much longer in the company.
— A new wave of layoffs?—.asked Anand fearing the worst.

— No, it's just frowned upon if you spend your time painting eggs. That's not your job here and we don't understand the source of your actions.

— Miss Anjali, I beg your pardon. I am sorry to have disappointed you. It was my impulse of positivity that came out of me in the midst of so much sadness. -. Anand had adopted a posture of embarrassment in that room.

— I am even more sorry, but after these actions I can only say goodbye to you.

Defeated, Anand left the office while thinking about what excuse he would tell his wife to justify his dismissal.

But that would not be the end of his story, the whole company heard about it, the egg painter had been discovered. This story had reached the ears of a reporter from a local newspaper "The Taj Mahal Post" who had been interested in doing a report on him, which was finally called "Anand and the Eggs of Happiness".

Anand was caught at home and quickly became a celebrity in that city. In a few months Anand had become a motivational coach and traveled all over India taking his message to every corner of the country sharing his encouragement and his desire to move forward, always looking at life from its positive side.

E S P
