Splinterlands Fan Art by Shoemanchu Gold Legendary "Prince Julian" Painting after sketch

(Edited)

Good Morning @splinterlands and Hive Family, another wonderful day in the books and another blessed day has arrived. It's been taking me some time to complete this Fan Art painting of the sketch I did of Prince Julian the Gold version card, like I said its been 20+ since I picked up a pencil and touched a paint brush but creating all that I do is so fascinating in my life right now, not to mention so therapeutic like my hikes. Although I do get a little frustrated at time because I want to be better at it but when your an amateur just let it flow, it is what it is, I try to learn it but that's just not me, I take pride in all that I do and when I set out to accomplish stuff, I truly feel like I am a professional, obviously not but you should feel that you are, speak yourself into existence. Never sell yourself short nor let outside people or noise distract you from your greatness, for it is at the end of the day, you competing against the one in the mirror and that's it for real though.

Now this painting I put in about 40+ hours in total, some ups and downs but I got thru it. Seems like one day felt good about it, then the next I was like what am I doing but at the end it seems all that is meant to be to learn and grow, then completion. It's like the process within the process to get it the way your meant to present it, now for me yes I love the fact that some could enjoy it and some may not but its all about my personal journey and this one feels good to me. That is the best feeling but I do thank you all for checking out my work and enjoying it.

Here I present to you my final painting Fan Art of the Legendary Gold Prince Julian @splinterlands card, basically a meant to honor the fact that I never posted about it but the sell of my Gold Legendary Prince Julian to @neoxian and I truly appreciate him buying the card for $3.6K if memory serves me correctly and also I thank @aggroed and @yabapmatt as well as @splinterlands for making the product that allowed this all to happen. I have had my ups and downs thru it all but I have put that all to peace and I just thank you all. For me it has been the best thing to let things be and just ejoy it or not invest in the product but meantime choose one and stop being so negative, it just brings the collective down, we don't need all that anymore, it ain't helping the cause.

With all that said let's keep it moving and lets keep the light and positivity pushing, blessed to be here and I would change all the past for it is shaping our future but right now, what's right in front of you is key to keep your reality the way you want. Hope you enjoy all the photo's of I have uploaded for you, I will also make this into an NFT on @nftshowroom. Thank you all for taking a look at my post and my blog, appreciate you all, God Bless.

Again this will be made into fan art NFT on @nftshowroom and you can check out my other work here. I might make a actual NFT of the painting and turn it into a digital painting too, so two types of editions.

The start of the sketch was going good but I do remember now that I shouldn't make it so dark, for when you get to painting with light colors it will take a lot to get rid of the pencil marks.

Here is the end sketch, which you all have seen before in my previous post and I did a little too much shading at this point but its all about bring back what the do and dont's you should be doing, plus like I said I am amateur anyways.

1.jpg

The first session painting I was like what is this? haha but the more and more time you put in on it, all things change with the colors.

2.jpg

I have always had a hard time with faces but I suppose if you keep doing it, things will change and I actually like the way the baby face came out, a little different but still not to bad.

3.jpg

4.jpg

Them eyes though, haha. Let's keep working on it.

5.jpg

6.jpg

OK now that is getting better in the eyes, still some tweaking on it but getting there.

7.jpg

8.jpg

Getting crazy trying to mix and I still have to go back and get my color mixing on what to do and what not to do but it is fun just going for it.

9.jpg

The ups and downs on the card features were tough, I liked the previous but then did stuff I didn't like, so you can see a scratched that.

10.jpg

11.jpg

12.jpg

Its pretty cool how you go all around too, like you get to a point where you don't just focus on one thing, you get a spark and go with another color somewhere else and it starts to flow.

13.jpg

14.jpg

15.jpg

I got to making those borders again and yup again I did not like it, too thick, so here we go lets get rid of them for the second time.

16.jpg

17.jpg

Now after this session a little frustration came in because the color was changing, although I felt like it had to because it is supposed to look like the gold card but at the end of this session I was very frustrated.

18.jpg

19.jpg

Starting to go for the border again after so much paint mixing it started to come together for me.

20.jpg

Now I am geting there, the lighting of the camera is making it look more orange but its actually not. Regardless I am back to feeling it, like I got my mojo back.

Here is the end, the finish and I am just ready to start a new one at this point but I am happy with my work, it truly was fun and a good mental test. Again it is more goldish yellow as you can see with the first picture, hard to get the lighting right taking a picture but regardless I am happy with the results. Once again thank you all for checking out my painting, post and my creation, love it and it brings me joy to show you all.
