| Then when I tried to teleport to any place from the general area, nothing was happening. I had to restart the whole Altspace and go to the picked world directly. Same procedure each time I wanted to change the worlds. And lastly, the people on the stage I wanted to listen to were disappearing, so I couldn't see or hear anything. Yea… quite frustrating. | Następnie, wszelkie teleporty nie działały, a po kliknięciu wybranego nic się nie działo. Za każdym razem, aby przenieść się do innego świata musiałem restartować cały program i iść bezpośrednio do świata docelowego. I tak przy każdej zmianie świata. | BUT! I have been playing with Altspace for a while and trying how things work there. In that time I created own little world from the tools available. And guess what? I managed to put a huge screen there and was able to watch a livestream there! With no problems and no interference :) Few of us were hanging out there today listening to the presentations. | ALE! Przez ostatnie kilka dni bawiłam się trochę Altspacem i sprawdzałam co i jak tam działa Przez ten czas udało mi się stworzyć własny świat z dostępnych tam dodatków. Wczoraj udało mi się też dodać ogromny ekran i na nim można było oglądać i słuchać livestreamu. Bez zakłóceń! Kilkoro z nas tam słuchało dzisiejszych prezentacji :) |

Try to look for an update. Not that it helped me much, but maybe it will do something with the mouse.
I was able to enter today and explore a little, saw a bunch of familiar names! But couldn't even talk... probably having a computer from stone age doesn't help! 😁

I saw you at HiveFest, but I was having trouble, too. My microphone was 'muting' itself at random. I could wave at people a few days ago but it wasn't working during HiveFest. The badge computer would not work for me, either, for a very long time. But, I finally got my badge! I will look for you tomorrow! 😊

I'm so sorry for the issue caused. Quoting from my email today with some solutions to entering the other rooms:
Unfortunately for some of you the HiveFest Badge computer is showing a big fat spike and frowning emoji. Trust me in real VR it looks supershiny with a live connection to the Hive Blockchain showing actual blocknumber, witness en TX count. And then everybody wears a badge.
I'm sorry, some bug caused on some version of the AltspaceVR software in combination with a certain Windows type, RAM, system, i don't know what is causing this.

Solution 2: How to enter all other HiveFest Events Worlds (visit on the web, Favorite or RSVP so you find them inside your apps menu):
Cool, thanks for all the information in the comment. Had troubles as well with the VRrooms, and eventually got it all working, except the presentations did not show and the presentors voices I couldn't hear. So I reverted to some live stream through Twitter. I'll give AltVR another try today, for sure. Otherwise I'll revert to one of the livestreams.
BTW, great performance of yours. Liked the joking parts, though some of the presentors didn't pick it up. Maybe cultural, or you going to fast hahahaha Keep it up and go with a similar style in todays session!

And I will definitely do the selfie trick if the registration doesn't work today as well. Thanks for setting everything up :)
Also I had troubles with the VRrooms. Though in the end I was able to collect the batch and get beemed up to the Main Room, I was not shown the presentation and didnt hear the speakers. A reset of the space, resulted in not able to get beemed up to the main room again. Had to revert to some live stream on Twitter to follow everything.
Cool you setup your own world/room and got the stream working there. Today I may check in with you. Lets see how my AltSpaceVR app is gonnan treat me today :)
It was a lottery or me with the people on the stage. They were there one minute and then they were gone. I saw the people around clapping and sending emojis, so I guess someone was there, but I couldn't see or hear. Then another time I could see just fine.
Hope it all works better today and we can hang out in the right places.

Good! I did manage to get my badge, but the worlds kept crashing the app.
Nop, just a few people, which is good :) That means people could watch on the Mainstage.
I got inspired by MarkyMark preso, his ideas of creating worlds and rooms which are used over and over to for HIVE ecosystem to connect with the world. I think he is on to something with this. Will you keep your world up and do you have plans to build this one out futher? I for sure plan to try and create something myself, but also would like to work with others to make things happen (in the end, its gonna need team work to get soemthing going for any lenght of time).
A few people I spoke with yesterday think it would be cool to have events/meetups more often, but of course on smaller scale. This one needed a lot of preparations. Creating a world, or just meet in of the existing ones doesn't need much. Just people wanting to be there at certain time.
It would be awesome to have a place dedicated just to Hive with the needed info there for some lost souls.
I will keep mine of course :) Not sure if it will be used much, but I have a huge Hive logo there too, so if someone pops... ;)

I fully agree with those you spoke with. We shall do this much more often. And indeed, not like in a 2x 6 hour program, but more like a Friday lunchtime food-for-though session, or a Friday afternoon like social event at which some speaker or content creator or artists or who and/or whatever can use the social gathering to bring some informtation. Would also be cool when some of the musicians in our community can play life, or some DJ spining some tracks. I suppose, first thing I shall do, is to buy myself a VR kit :)

Super! We have some in our community! If you like, we can try and get something going? Maybe we shall involve someone like Crimson, she has a large reach into the community. Or Brittandjosie? We just need to get some interersting amount of HIVE users interested to show up. Get some users doing something cool (comedy would be great for some laughter), and get a DJ. You happen to know some funny people in our community?
The only problem is that this is not a big space. Not for large meetings (was never meant to be for such) anyway as with 15 people in it is already crowd. For more people it would have to be larger, dedicated area. The one like on the pre-meetup would be fine I guess, or like the Mainstage was prepared on... depending on how many people would be interested. And since those two (and there are few other templates like that) already have prepared a stage area, it would be handy.

Agree, HIVE shall have a few different rooms; Per event it can be decided what room to go for; Just a hang out lounge would be cool as well. Will need to have a go with the VR app to see what all is possible.

Oj.. wiem ze za pozno juz, ale mi pomoglo troche dopasowanie rozdzielczosci w Altspace do monitora. Tam jest jakos inaczej jako default.
Mi sie zawiszalo za kazdym razem jak weszlam w ktorykolwiek swiat Hivefest. W innych swiatach dziala bez problemu.
korzystałem z Oculusa. Nic to, grunt że ludzie byli i się bawili :)
Myslalam, ze tylko ci w 2D mieli takie problemy.
Oby nastepnym razem bylo lepiej :)
I experienced the same things exactly. Out of 4-5 hours of frustration. I got to enjoy a few minutes of conversations.
Outside of Hivefest the avatar worked well, but inside the Hivefest it was just not usable.
I was also very disappointed with the "Wall of Fame." (shame)
I donated to have my user name (very small) on a sign, leaning against a rock?
I think it would have been great had it not been for all of the problems.
That's the thing. In every other world everything was working perfectly. As soon as I entered Hivefest one, it was crashing and I was forcer to restart whenever I wanted to change world or even load menu. I also noticed that written messages were not delivered :p I was getting them all at once after the restart.
Yep, same issues. It had to have been on the AltVR side. As I even relocated to another internet source. I was reluctant to change any major settings on @pooky-jax (my wifes) work laptop and that horrible "Microsloth Windblows," as I rarely use that bloatware O.S. these days. I have been Linux (several different distros) since 2012. None of my computers (4) have that spyware system on them.
I look forward to trying altVR some more at the meet ups @galenkp and a few others have considered trying in the upcoming months.
the room you created, I visitited it too, enjoyed the memorable posters on the walls.. and the booze bottles looked funny!
maybe its to good or bad, but I didnt stumbled upon any bugs... the absence of the so called 'badges' annoyed me, as I could not hug and shared Beer. what frustrated me personally most, was the fact that I do not own microphone... it spoiled all the fun, it doomed to be a silent spectator. so I didnt approached anybody - what for?.. and if only I ha d a mike, who knows, maybe then I would get frustration of another kind - of empty space and nobody-to-approach-too. lets face the truth. I didnt met even the friend WHO WAS GOING there, but simply didnt! the lack on enthusiasm, is frustrating, but... maybe I (all of us!) raised expectations too high...

I could talk, so I did enjoy that. And seeing all the nicks with real voices. That was cool. The presentations I managed to see were cool too.
No clue what the Hugs and Beers was for. I didn't see badges on anyone, not even my own, so I guess that didn't count for me.
No.. the portals didn't work for me, so I didn't visit any. Some of the worlds I did see before though.
interaction... substitute for a real hugs and eye contact.
i watched a good part of presentations, and, uh, I see you there... badgeless, so cant interact with you since I could not speak, could not wave hands... just nodding my head and rounding a silent circles, hehe. maybe I should make some decisions for a possible next year, idk. not decided.

you maybe not a good example, since you were 'bageless' and didnt interacted with Hugs. but on another hand, it is example you twrong is the 'score', cause, obviously, both of us were there... and have a meeting.

No teleport and no computer badge.
I found a way to go to the other rooms, by following friends like I did with arcange and blocktrades, so when they were in the room I wanted to be, I clicked the button in the friends menu and I would show up in the room,
Took me 2 hours to find this way to"teleport".
But I had a great adventure. :-)
I loved altvr.
Yeaaa I had to follow friends too to travel between room.
It was the first one like this. Always awesome learning experience for everyone and I am sure the next ones will only be better.
It was still a lot of fun! It was all new for me.
