” Blackbirds tend to like Shiny Things” ~ The Bloody Raven

A continuation of our epic Scottsdale order not long after the Silver price massacre of March 13th and I am still pleased of the results and the amazing quality of these bullion coin products out of the Scottsdale mint despite the protracted wait. And my #ladiesofsgs4eva Sista @saffisara also displayed the same 2018 St. Kitts & Nevis coin in her post not very long ago.

St. Kitts was renamed from St. Christopher, originally discovered and claimed for Spain by Christopher Columbus in 1493 and he did not name the Island after himself but of his patron saint as San Cristóbal. Nevis was originally named San Martín until the Spanish changed it to Nevis.

The coin

Though had Spanish, English and French settlers cohabitated these lush fertile Islands for some time the majority of people were imported slaves for the lucrative sugar industry.

These colonies played a significant role in staging other settlements in the region and ownership of these Islands were frequently contested over the 17th century first with the Spanish over the English and French then in the later part of the century between the English and French, with the French giving up their claim in 1713 by Treaty.

My Take on these Coins

The cameo finish of St. Kitts & Nevis’ featured national bird, the Brown pelican against the proof like mirror finish, makes for an eye pleasing balance and photo ready like a showcase coin. I like it when the primary subject is done Cameo.

Though these coins belong to my friend I can understand that he can see the artistic thought and effort placed into these designs. Add the exceptional quality of Scottsdale mint along with their more modest pricing I find myself wishing I could have ordered these too. Maybe the next time!

The Bloody Raven's Take?

"The EC8? Aye, plenty of lovely places to hide out with me gold and silver. A Bloody Mary if yea don't mind?"

Truly lovely Pelican coins. The 2018 in flight, and the 2019 perched... both are a beautiful depiction of an elegant bird. The pelican is a symbol of self-sacrifice in some faiths, including Christianity. Thank you for the background on the coins. are you sure those aren't your coins, LOL!
Awesome show, sis. Stay lovely always, my sweet sis @kerrislravenhill. Take care 🥰🌺🤙, lots of love and a million and one Hugs and Kisses 🤗💕💋!!

You're correct Sis. and different Birds symbolize many things.
Any sailor in the age of sail sees birds often as a good sign of land close by. Raising hope that they could set their feet on solid ground after week of being at sea.
Always, with love 🌺 💝 🌹 💓 🌸 🌼
I hope the coming HF updates these emojis and quirks.

Cameo Proof like quality coins at a BU price, and toss it the capsule. It was worth the wait for us.

Great for my Stacking Neighbor Punkys Dad as he is admirer of birds and Stacks PMs too. So these are on loan from him. We often combine our orders to take advantage of Free shipping and go to shows together. IF we order from Scottsdale again I may add the 2018 St Kitts Nevis since I like that one.
