2020 Australian Silver Dragon: Silver Dragon Coins Part 4

A coin is usually defined and described as flat, round, in the shape of a disc piece of metal used primarily as a medium of exchange or legal tender.

This coin is not round or in the shape of a disc. It certainly does not look like a traditional coin.

In the Silver Dragon Coin series, I will be showing the Perth Mint silver dragon coins. The three that I had previously featured (links below) are special mint series dragon coins, very much like the Perth Mint Lunar Dragon which were minted in the years 2000 and 2012.

2017 Dragon and Phoenix

2018 Dragon and Tiger

2019 Double Dragon

The next set of dragon design coins in this article series are the bullion silver that are issued every year. Surprisingly, these are the coins offered as bullion coins in the dragon design. The bullion dragon coins were first issued in 2018. I will be showing this set of silver coins in the reverse order they were minted.

2020 Australia 1 oz Silver Dragon BU

Struck by The Perth Mint from 1 oz of .9999 fine Silver, this unique rectangular coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act.
On the reverse side of the 2020 Australia 1 oz Silver Dragon depicts two dragons pursuing the flaming pearl at the center of the design field. The background has a beautiful blank satin finish that keeps the eye focused on the dragons. There is a P mint mark in the lower-left field of the reverse.
The obverse 2020 coins have the new sixth-generation portrait of Elizabeth II. Here, the Queen is shown in right-profile relief with the ornate George IV State Diadem Crown on her head. This image was initially created for the Royal Mint of England in 2015 by Jody Clark and has been adapted for Australian coins as of 2019.

The 1 Dollar - Elizabeth II 6th Portrait - Chinese Dragon Bullion Bar is a non-circulating coin.

Stay tuned for the next silver dragon coin in this series!

I know that you love dragons too, and that is what we have in common, along with many other stackers. It appears that it is a favorite of many. I like the mythical symbol of the dragon for a special reason so I have quite a few pieces of silver with dragons. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I appreciate you! Stack on, sweet @saffisara, and take care 🥰🌺🤙

Hehehe, they are bar coins. I think that it is crazy that they made this bar a coin. All bullion coins are not circulating coins anyway. I think that it would be valued more if it was shaped like s real coin.
Have a great evening, my dear friend @teenagecrypto! Do you think that they will start school fir a couple of weeks in June, or is it the end of the school year for you?
Stay safe and take care 🥰🌺🤙

Beautiful Dragon strikes by the Perth Mint, I still see Koalas, Kooks, Emus, Chinese Zodiac, and Eagles available in Canada but have never seen the Dragon series for sale from Canadian Retailers yet.
Someone has got to make a coin with that emoji!
Always, with love 🌺 💝 🌹 💓 🌸

I do have one of each year of the Kook and the Koala. I never really got the Lunar coins (except the Dragon Lunars) because when we started stacking the Lunar II has started already, and I did not want to go back to the years. This year is a good year to get Lunar because it is the start of the Lunar III year. Perth Mint makes great quality products and their products have higher premiums than other mints. Do you have Apmex or JMB available in Canada?
Rest up these your two days off, my lovely sis @kerrislravenhill! Take care 🥰🌺🤙, lots of love and a million Hugs and Kisses 🤗💕💋!

Isn't this interesting @silversaver888, I don't think I can recall any other modern "coins" that are in the shape of a bar??🤔
Then you have this coin minted from the Perth Mint...and with this very detailed design, and you have a winner!!!
Have a wonderful Monday my friend!!😍😍😀

I really cannot understand why they choose to monetize this shape of a coin. I personally would value it better if it was shaped like a traditional coin. Then after this, they monetized a triangular coin. I sometimes think that they are abusing the fact that they are a government mint and authorized to monetize metal. This is the Perth Mint, which is the other government Mint. There is also the Royal Australian Mint. Just me, I guess.
Have a great evening, my stacker friend @silvertop. Take care 🥰🌺🤙

Interesting thoughts @silversaver888....I think we are in an age where bigger is better, stranger is more collectable. You might be right, there are so many Mints competing for us stackers....😇
Enjoy the evening my friend!!😍😍😀

Very nice! I like all the dragon coins, the only one I have so far is the 2018 British 1oz silver 2 pounds two dragons coin. But I have my eyes on a few others right now.

I also love the Dragon design on coins, and you can be sure I have the two dragon coins you speak about! In general, I think that the QB series s one of the best modern series that UK has.
Have a wonderful evening, my friend @maddogmike. Take care 🥰🌺🤙
