Nightmares

Nature calls, sleep is inevitable
Into the dreamworld it pulls him in.
Dark with no life.
Quiet as a graveyard.
He walks on a path,
Everything seems foggy.
All seems blurry
Environment spiraling into another
He opens his eyes,
Comfort of a warm bed soothes him
Enjoying the warmth of the bed,
Sleep pulls him away
Another dimension of the dreamworld
Darker, with no life
Chill as the winter,
Voices whispering
Tiny hairs of his neck all up
Danger proximate, the stench of sulfur
Cold sweats, heartbeats faster
Fingers shaking, eyes dilating
Environment spiraling yet again to another
In a thick dark forest suddenly
A beast comes out from behind trees
It growls, stalking closer to him
Beast on four legs,
Multiple eyes around the face
Eyes hideous with enticing evil
Feathers instead of fur
No tail,
Crawls thick and long
He attempts to speak
His voice comes out mute.
Beast stalks closer opening its mouth
Aaaah! He woke up!
His scream echoes into the night
Skin glittering from perspiration
Heart beating like that of a rabbit
Looking around,
He realizes his nightmare is over again!
