Journal/Blogging Prompt: What are the most memorable meals you've ever had?

Eating is part of living. I remember my old man who used to say, "You don't live to eat. You eat to live." Yeah, I'd say he was right on point. Eating is not my most favorite activity. However, we are built to get hungry and we need to somehow satisfy that hunger. We do have a choice as to what type of food we take in. Let me share some of our memorable meals when we had that trip to Cambodia in February.

Dimsum and cold cuts. Our first meal ever upon getting out of the Phnom Penh International Airport. It was a cross between late breakfast and early lunch (more like brunch). Since our body system is still getting used to the new surroundings, we thought it best to eat light.

Chicken avocado wrap and sizzling tofu. We had these at the Artillery Cafe, Phnom Penh, when we explored Street 240 in the afternoon of the first day of tour. You would love this cafe, esp. if you're vegan. This was more like late lunch and snack.

Dinner the night before was a club sandwich that my daughter and I shared. I couldn't find the photo at all, but I swear I took that photo. LOL! Breakfast buffet was provided at the hotel. I must say I skipped taking photos too. This was for lunch at the Sna Dai Cafe which was located across from the Cheung Ek Genocidal Center (also known as "the killing fields"). Fried Bamboo with Prawns and Pineapple Chicken. I have yet to bring myself to write about the visit to the killing fields and the genocide museum.

(PS. My daughter wrote about it though. In case you want to read it, A Part of Cambodia's Past: Our Trip to The Killing Fields and Genocide Museum.

Dinner at the SkyBar of our hotel. It was our last night in Phnom Penh. We traveled very early the next day to catch the van going to Siem Reap. Thought I'd include the video below as bonus...
