Growing bonsais, a relaxing hobby

Hello hivians. How is the end of the week going? I hope that very good. It's time to enjoy the weekend and since we are almost in spring and the weather has improved, it's time to go on an excursion with the children to the mountains. One will collect rocks for his new hobby and the other will drive me crazy running after any poor little animal.

And today's article is about hobbies. A while ago a friend asked me for advice. She was a little sick and bored so she wanted a hobby that was relaxing. Don't hesitate. Grow bonsais you won't regret it. She found it very difficult although she was attracted to the proposal so I offered to help her. I have had my small bonsai collection for years.

Growing bonsais is much easier than people think. In fact, it is easier than growing other types of plants that tend to have more disease problems than trees. With trees, whether in a pot, as a bonsai, or in any other way, we have a great advantage. The trees will survive us. Yes, it may seem surprising, but trees have a life expectancy greater than ours, so they should not die if we treat them well.
This does not happen with many plants that die and we think that we have done something wrong but their life cycle is sometimes very short. Few plants live more than 10 years and most 1 or 2 years.
Otherwise there would be no gardens.

It is not an expensive hobby although pots can cost a lot of money. To start off with a small tree or a young bonsai that will not be very expensive. And then it's about patience to give it the shape we want.
The infallible trick to prevent it from dying is not too much water. Most plants die from excess watering, never from lack of it.
