Today I am going with a happy banner. Why you may ask? Because there's been enough bad news in the markets and the world in the last couple of days. Plus Sunday is my weekly ten HSBI giveaway which is always a lot of fun for me. I started this about a month ago to give back to the Hive community that has helped me so much in the past year in my Hive journey.

Spring is finally here in force which is a nice change. Although it's a little cool with a chance of rain here it's beautiful weather. I've managed to get a lot of the yard work done that I've been putting off most the winter and now I'm just waiting for my new plants to get big enough to harden off and place in the garden. Several of the older plants just weren't looking healthy so they are being replaced with some fresh new tomato and peppers. The new tomatoes are looking great and the peppers are just finally sprouting. I'll have to share a post on those soon.

Moving on to the giveaway. I used to do a daily re-blog lottery. I really got tired of the daily extra work so I decided to give it up and focus on quality content only during the week. I am focusing on engagement in this contest, that's why the following statement is in bold.
This contest is not a re-blog lottery, so please read the entry instructions so you can have a valid entry and with some luck be a lucky winner!

The Giveaway

I will be giving out two prizes of five (5) HSBI chosen at random from all of the valid entrants. There will also be one gold foil Splinterlands card as a third prize. If you don't play Splinterlands just let me know and I'll send you an HSBI instead. To participate you need a reputation level of at least 25 and bots of course cannot win. And please one entry per person to make it fair to everyone.

How to Enter

Every week this will change. I'm looking for engagement rather than just saying "I am in". There is no need to upvote or re-blog, although if you choose to I would appreciate it. This week's question is an easy one: ** What is your favorite dessert and why?**

I know it's lazy sticking with the food theme, but it's a lot of fun!

Choosing the Winners

All valid entries will be placed on the Wheel of Names and I will spin it three times. The first prize will be 5 HSBI units. The second prize will be another 5 HSBI units. And the third prize will be for the card shown below or one HSBI unit, your preference. And since I am spinning the same wheel three times in a row it is theoretically possible for the same person to win all three prizes! Although I have yet to see it happen, maybe this week?

My Favourite in Desserts :

Russian Salad 🥗

I ate Russian Salad at first time about 8 years ago which was during our College Tour to Kalar Kahar. We had our breakfast with Egg and Pratha, after 2 hours we got served with Russian Salad that was my first time tour with friends and teachers and that was way long about 2000km and we covered that distance in a signal day lol.

From that day to this one, I always prefer Russian Salad in Desserts.

Russian Salad is my all time Favourite in Dessert.

I am not that much of a dessert person.
Instead I rather drink an irish coffee or a brown beer like chimay blue / Westmalle dubble / sint bernardus abt

My favorite is ice cream. I love it both in summer and winter. And I also love many flavors. I especially like lemon, which not everyone likes.

Hi, @thebighigg I join in the fun and participation in this initiative. As for my favorite dessert, without a doubt it is strawberry cream pie, just mentioning it stimulates my taste buds. A good strawberry and cream tart cheers my spirit and gives me a sense of well-being. Although I must say that my consumption of refined sugars is controlled, for the sake of my health.

That does sound good. Since it's spring strawberries are easy to find. Truth be told they're easy to find year round. I too avoid to much excess sugar, I prefer to get it eating fruits these days.

How nice that you have strawberries all year round. For me, it is not always possible to find them. It is not a widespread crop in my Country, it is harvested only in very specific areas and sometimes they do not meet the expectations. Thank you for the gift !LUV

I'm lucky, here in California it's a big crop so you can find strawberry stands pretty much everywhere along the streets year round. It's been a long time since I've been to Venezuela, ever since Chavez was in office it hasn't been as safe to travel there. In the mid 1990's in was beautiful there!

How wonderful strawberries, lots of strawberries, you are lucky. Yes sadly since a few years ago things in my Country have become more complicated, and it has not been easy. Not everything is beautiful anymore, although my country is full of wonders that have overlapped, they are there, they have not disappeared, and I am sure that they will bloom again.... I refuse to give up hope, it is what sustains me and gives me the strength to keep on trying !HUG

My favorite desert will be chocolate cake because it fits to all occasions and it's sweet. I like cakes that are spongy and soft. In fact, I just ate cake last week on my cousin's birthday, they are really delicious.

I would have said chocolate cake and ice cream, however as you pointed out we are moving into spring and summer and raspberry season ... so my favourite fruit bar none is raspberry and yesterday I bought raspberry trifle, because it is tasty and doesn't feel like you are being naughty stuffing down calories!

Funny thing, this afternoon as I was meeting Mrs T at the buststop on her way home from work, I stopped at the grocery shop to see if any whoopsies... and lo and behold I saw a chocolate cake reduced in price, I have not seen that before, so that was dessertt tonight!

Ice cream, a double flavor of vanilla and chocolate. However I do not like cookies and cream flavor, I have tried that a couple of time with different brand, for me it's not a good flavor for dessert.

If it's done right vanilla and chocolate ice cream can be incredible! I have had others that are good, but it has to be a good brand if you want that rich flavor!

My favorite is TIRAMISÙ , its intense flavor made of coffee and mascarpone with savoiardi and cocoa powder is the leader on my long dessert list😊

My favorite dessert is Sicilian Canoli, a childhood memory, my aunt knew how to make them, and I sometimes find them when I travel.

My favourite dessert is Creme Brulee. Not easy to do, but if done well, is just a delight to consume, especially with that torched top layer.

Uhhh the desserts, exquisite and tempting delicacies. I am not very demanding with desserts, I am easy to please, however, it must have the magic ingredient and that is Chocolate. What is your favorite dessert and why
That is a tough one to answer for me as I am a foodie so hard to say no to something that looks good, tastes good and is low on sugar.
Off late I am inclined to have things made at home where I can monitor the butter/oil and the sugar that goes in so homemade custards, puddings and cakes are my current favorite till the time I can be in a state of restrain and can avoid all those sweet treats that are out there for sale.

I understand that feeling all too well... Cakes and puddings are really good but high in sugar. Since I'm no longer twenty-one by a few decades I now have to watch such things! I stick what is healthy much more lately, but every now and again I'll reward myself with a special treat!
