¡Hola comunidad Hive! Yo soy Abraham, no era como el típico niño que le encantaba estar todo un día en el televisor jugando, pero vengo a contarles sobre un juego que por casualidad y confusión llegó a mi vida y estoy agradecido porque haya sucedido.

Hi Hive community! I'm Abraham, I was not like the typical child who loved to spend a whole day on the TV playing, but I come to tell you about a game that by chance and confusion came into my life and I am grateful that it happened.

Se trata de un juego japonés desarrollado por Bandai de la serie de 2001 de Super Sentai que sirvió de inspiración a la versión americana conocida como los “Power Rangers: Wild Force". Soy del 2000 así que crecí con los Power Rangers y fue mi obsesión de la infancia.

¿Cómo llegué al juego?

Tenía eso de 5 años y un primo me había dado su playstation de primera generación porque ya era vieja y ademas ya había crecido mucho y no la usaba.

How did I get into the game? I was about 5 years old and a cousin had given me his first generation playstation because it was already an old console and besides he had grown a lot and didn't use it.

Al primer momento, por no tener juegos no le presté atención. A lo días él llegó y me dió un juego de la NBA, la verdad solo llegué al inicio, me aburrí rápido y lo apagué.

At first, because I didn't have any games, I didn't pay attention to it. Days later he came and gave me an NBA game, the truth is I only got there at the beginning, I got bored fast and turned it off.

Pasaron los días y una vez que salí al centro de la ciudad de donde soy . Entro junto a ellos a una tienda llamada La Familia en donde se dedicaban a vender juegos para consolas y también electrodomésticos. Al comentarle al empleado que quería juegos para un Playstation 1 enseguida nos muestra un catálogo de todos los vídeos que disponía la tienda.

The days passed and once I went out to the center of the city where I am from . I go into a store called La Familia where they sell games for consoles and also appliances. When I told the employee that I wanted games for a Playstation 1 he immediately showed us a catalog of all the videos that the store had.

Mientras pasaba página por página me llama poderosamente sólo uno, Power Ranger: Wild Force sin pensarlo dos veces y supe que era para mí. Pedí el videojuego y otros adicionales y salimos de la tienda.

As I flipped through the pages, only one calls me mightily, Power Ranger: Wild Force without a second thought and I knew it was for me. I ordered the video game and additional ones and we left the store.

El resto del viaje en mi mente sólo estaba el videojuego, y nada más. Recuerdo claramente lo ansioso que estaba por probarlo. Mis papás terminaron de hacer todas sus diligencias y luego regresamos a casa.

The rest of the trip in my mind was just the video game, and nothing else. I clearly remember how eager I was to try it out. My parents finished all their errands and then we returned home.

Fui el primero en bajar del auto y entrar primero a la casa directo a encender la televisión y la consola. Inserte el disco en la ranura y comenzó mi mágica experiencia.

I was the first to get out of the car and go straight into the house to turn on the TV and the console. I inserted the disc into the slot and my magical experience began.

Al principio llevé mi primera sorpresa, en vez de aparecer lo que era de esperar “Power Ranger: Wild Force" sucede lo contrario. En la imagen de inicio aparecen los héroes con sus trajes y los zords de fondo, pero a diferencia de que el título tenía "rayitas" pues así había dicho yo en aquel entonces a la escritura japonesa.

At first I had my first surprise, instead of the expected "Power Ranger: Wild Force", the opposite happens. In the initial image, the heroes appear with their costumes and the zords in the background, but unlike the title it had "stripes" as I had said at the time to the Japanese writing.

Dejando de un lado eso continua la introducción del videojuego, llega la segunda sorpresa: los personajes que estaba acostumbrado a ver no eran los mismos. Se trataban de personas asiáticas que ocupaban esos puestos. Aun sin desilucionarme continúo el juego hasta que empieza.

Leaving aside that continues the introduction of the video game, comes the second surprise: the characters I was used to seeing were not the same. They were Asian people who occupied those positions. Even without being disappointed I continue the game until it starts.

Se trata del típico juego de combate en donde se recrea la escena de la serie. Además de que se desarrolla bajo el género Beat´em up y Hack and Slash en que los 5 héroes en trajes deben luchar contra grandes cantidades de escuadrones de villanos liderados por el “Org" que es el villano en turno por derrotar pues su misión es destruir al planeta y los Rangers no lo van a permitir.

This is a typical combat game where the scene of the series is recreated. It's also developed under the genre Beat'em up and Hack and Slash in which the 5 heroes in suits must fight against many squads of villains led by a "Org" leader that his mission is to destroy the planet and the Rangers are not going to allow it.

Poco a poco los Rangers van destruyendo a los escuadrones hasta que sólo queda el Org. al final los Rangers lo destruyen y revive en una forma gigantesca. En donde el grupo invoca a sus Zords para formar el robot gigante que acabara con el malo de forma definitiva.

Little by little the Rangers are destroying the squadrons until only the Org is left, at the end the Rangers destroy it and it revives in a gigantic way. In where the group invokes to their Zords to form the giant robot that finished with the bad one of definitive form.

Como era muy niño no manejaba muy bien la línea con el juego. Si recuerdo que una vez cuando mi mamá estudiaba enfermería se reunió en la casa con una compañera de clases a realizar un trabajo para la carrera. La señora trajo su hijo que era unos años mayor que yo, lo invité al cuarto a jugar y le mostré los juegos que tenía y le puse el de mis Power Rangers Chinos (a pesar de que años después aprendí de donde provenía, era lo normal referirse así).

As a child, I didn't handle the line with the game very well. I do remember that once when my mom was studying nursing she met at home with a classmate to do a job for her career. The lady brought her son who was a few years older than me, I invited him into the room to play and showed him the games I had and put him in my Chinese Power Rangers (even though years later I learned where they came from, it was normal to refer to them that way).

Empieza lo habitual del juego. El muchacho va pasando entre luchas hasta que en un punto pelea con un villano de lobo que tenía su propio MegaZord. A mitad de la pelea no pudo finalizar porque lo llamó lo mamá y yo intenté terminar.

Start the usual game. The boy passes between fights until at one point he fights a wolf villain who had his own MegaZord. In the middle of the fight he couldn't finish because he called him his mom and I tried to finish.

Los recuerdos son algo vagos para mi pues fue hace mucho tiempo ya, pero lo más importante aún lo tengo en mente y es lo que me causa felicidad.

The memories are somewhat vague for me because it was a long time ago, but the most important thing I still have in mind is what makes me happy.
