Hello guys hope all of you are doing good.

The last episode for the game of GOW3 has finally arrived. A lot of things happened that would take me a lot of time to explain so I’m just gonna try and write everything in a summarised version, all that I understood that is.

After the initial brawl was cut short due to the abrupt explosion of the Pandora box the father son duo went out to get some fresh air. Overlooking at the sad state of the world Zeus pledges to repair the impaired world.

They exchanged many blows but that fight was cut short. This time it was the former ally of the new God Of War, Gaia. She was still alive even after thrown off the battle twice. This time she had the pristine opportunity of eliminating the Gods that bested her. She tried to crush the mountain where Kratos and Zeus was.

Unfortunately for her, Kratos fell in the hollow part of her upper chest area. He knew the layout all too well and knew what to do. This time, the onyx that had formed in front of Gaia’s heart could be taken down thanks to the nemean guantlet and put an end to her once and for all.

There too arrived the king of meddlers, Zeus. Then started was their brawl once again, beside the heart of the goddess of nature.

The Fight

This fight took me quite some time to best. Took me about a good 20 minutes to understand the attack sequence but even after understanding I messed up time and time again before finally getting it right. The moves were downright gruesome as always. The most badass scene was where both Gaia’s heart and Zeus were impaled with the Blade of Sparta.

Gaia was dead, her body crumbled into pieces and fell down towards the earth. Kratos woke up and saw his dead father atop debris. He went and retrieved it. As he made his way back a large shadowy figure of Zeus materialised and caught Kratos by his head. Zeus said that he was Kratos’ creator and he would be his destroyer and twisted his skull.

Kratos went down the memory lane where the viewers pieced together all the happenings simultaneously. How his family was killed which led him to seek power and thus the opening of the Pandora box and then going after the head of Helios, the Cerberus, and all the other box. Where Pandora who was filled with hope also asked Kratos to have that hope. That after he had opened the supposed empty box, the power to kill a god was inside him.

He regains consciousness and gripped the shadowed figure’s hand and moved it aside. He used his blades of exile on it and it went back inside Zeus. He approached Zeus and punched and wrecked havoc on his head.

The punching went for quite some time to the point where I thought, “Man, maybe I broke the game or something”. The whole screen was bloody red and the boxing was still on.

Athena shows up and explains that previously Zeus had summoned all the evils from the Great War and put them inside the box. Athena feared the day it would be opened again and so she had put the strongest weapon inside the box with it. When he opened it, the Gods were corrupted and Kratos had received the weapon. Athena thought of the opposite, the the great evils were inside Kratos and not the gods. This weapon was far greater then the evils that had bested even the Zeus, it was Hope. When asked how it was triggered, Kratos remembers the neither living nor dead child, Pandora.

Athena asks for her weapon to be given back but Kratos denies it. Athena thought that Kratos was about to strike her again, for a second time but he flipped the sword and stroke himself. The power of Hope was released to the world as life from his body was trying to leave. There ended his vengeance, losing the power of hope. Athena was furious as she tells the fallen god that the mortals would not know what to do with it.

The ghost of Athena turns around and goes away while the fallen God Of War laid on the field. Empty.

After the end credits scene was where my prize awaited. The difficulty mode of Very Hard Difficulty was unlocked and the hard mode was bested by me even though I never played this sort of game. Felt proud, even though it was in a game.

Enjoy the gameplay.

I watched through the cutscenes again recently for GoW. The third game was an epic conclusion before the next chapter.

Yeah, I haven’t played the previous sequels though. Also, Sony is introducing the 3 tiers of Ps subscription for which Ps-now is looking dreadful to even consider for me.
