Mindblast Battle Report : Boulder Thrower

Cyclops.jpg

Cyclops might have one eye but still, I consider him as a useful monster as it has good damage in range. Despite that, I actually experience many missed hits from Cyclops, the trade is still fair as it has 7 life points with can help withstand heavy damages.

But still, we are required to level up Cyclops for at least level 3 to help unlock his Shield ability which will help him against opposing melee attack monsters and magic monsters. Much better if you do have enough money to level him up then go for at least 6 as it will unlocked two of his skills, first is the Shield Ability which we have already mentioned and next is Stun ability which will help to disable the enemy by making him skip a turn. A good advantage on your side.

Details

As for the battle details, only even numbers mana monsters are possible to be used in battle while mana cap is 27. The mana cap is quite feasible to help me select the best monsters I could get.

The enemy made a good combo out of his Silvershield Knight which will try to hold the frontline while possibly damaging my Flesh Golem in the frontline with its Piercing ability. It's ability also helps boosts the melee attack monsters. At its back, we can see Silvershield Warriors who are ready to take backup damage towards me.

I see that my opponent mostly relies on armors as he got ArmorSmith that could help protect its monsters from damages done by both my melee and ranged attack monsters.

He tries to put its Furious Chicken blocking its Mantoid to have the monster's longevity in battle as it will become pretty useless when it will be at the frontline. His option is to have its Furious Chicken hold for a moment.

My Line Up

I put Flesh Golem in the frontline in order to defend the ground as I rely mostly on its healing ability that could help him recover in every damage that he will receive. Aside from that Flesh Golem has pretty decent damage while it has good health points and speed on the other hand.

In the Second Position, I put up Minotaur Warrior as I can see its effectiveness with its Reachability. It is a good way to have him a good backup towards my Flesh Golem, giving it more opportunity to take damage as much as possible.

In the third position, I put up Furious Chicken as I know that he could stay in charge for a while so my range and magic attack monsters can still have an attack. I consider Furious Chicken as a sacrificial lamb in this battle.

I will be needing the service of Spirit Miner as it could help damage the enemy with its direct hit to the liver damage. This is one way of triggering and ignoring enemy's armor. And also, the just-in-case enemy uses Range attack monsters or Melee, then has the skill of chance to evade those attacks.

Swamp Thing could be use in this battle as it can helped decrease the life points of all my enemies. I think that is the only task that I had given to him.

And lastly, Cyclops which I consider the hero of this battle as he keeps on throwing the Boulder whenever is possible. This is good damage inflicting monster so I like this monster very much.

The Battle

image.png

His Summoner boosted all its monsters with additional armor which is now a thicker and hard to damage. At the start of Round 1, my Flesh Golem was heavily attacked but thankfully it has a healing ability. It's Silvershield is try to hold off as well but its 3 melee attack is quite painful.

image.png

At Round 2, I made my chance to eliminate its Silvershield Knight which now helped lost all melee damage boost. But it seems that my Flesh Golem is pretty low in life so it might be eliminated as well in the next round.

image.png

At Round 3, my Flesh Golem and his Silvershield Warrior both eliminated. Now, I see more vulnerable monsters on my enemy side.

image.png

At Round 5, his magic attack monster got eliminated easily while I see a more useless ArmorSmith, I guess its time to do the task. My Cyclops really did a good job to dealing some damages to the enemy monsters which helps eliminate them one by one.

Battle ended at Round 8 which remains my Cyclops and 3 others.

Analysis

The battle is quite intense as he was able to take a good hold with its Silvershield Knight and Silvershield Warrior. I always rely on my backup in this battle as I know that it's other monsters will become useless when I manage to eliminate those melee attack type monsters. I was not mistaken as it really happened the way I want it to be.
