Mindblast Battle Report : Centaur Sniping

Centaur is one good ranged monster that has been lethal against range or magic counterparts. Most of enemy range or magic that are positioned at the back of the frontline might be weak in terms of health. That is the very reason Centaur exists, to eliminate them and weaken the enemy.

Details

In this battle, we can see that the enemy force has both magic and ranged attackers. He put Animated Corpse in the frontline which can handle enough damage from my monsters as it has seven life points while can deal with decent damage also. We can see that he has no healer on his side in which he relies on decreasing the life of my monster which his Undead Priest.

Since most of my monsters don't have armors then I might have big trouble against his two ranged monsters Twisted Jester and Dark Astronomer. His magic attack monsters will possibly be backup damage.

One problem of mine is that his Summoner has a buff of armors, so that means it will not be an easy battle comparing to its advantage.

My Line Up

On my line up, I put Centaur second to the last as he will serve as a sniper for my time. With its speed of 4, it has a high chance of taking the first blow against the enemy monster and ranged attackers.

Centaur is surely a good ranged monster in my team and I am very dependent on his damage and accuracy.

Rusty Android is also a reliable frontline as I can see it. It has the ability of Magic Reflect which helps him on guard if ever being targetted by Magic attack monsters. With its 8 life points and 3 attacks then he could deal good damage to the enemy frontline as well.

I have added Creeping Ooze on the line up to make sure that I'm able to decrease the speed of the enemy monsters, taking my chance to attack first.

Since most of my monsters does have around 1~2 attack in which I need to use Weaken in order to decrease their life points, making sure that the attack of my monsters would fit against the enemy monsters.

Undead Archer would be very useful whenever the enemy has healing monsters. I take my luck on selecting him and put him under the fourth position.

I put Twister Jester at the last position in order to serve as a backup to Centaur and at the same time, it has lower health and speed compare to Centaur.

The Battle

In the initial, there had been several debugging towards our monsters where they are most likely equal to each other. During Round 1, My Centaur and Twister Jester takes their move as they eliminate Death Elementa; with their combo.

They also eliminate my Death Priest, boosting back to enemy monsters to their original lives.

At Round 2, Twisted Jester and Centaur take their chance to make revenge eliminating enemy Undead Priest. His Twister Jester hit hard damage towards my Undead Archer which kills him. My Rusty Armor is really in a bad situation as it receives tremendous damage against Animated Corpse and Dark Astronomer.

In Round 3, his Animated Corpse was eliminated which replace Curse Slimeball. There had been no worries as it has only 1 attack. My Rusty Android cannot take any longer the damages taken leaving its life points to 1. This is an opportunity for Dark Astronomer to strike fast which the monster really did.

I have no more standard frontline the same as him but most likely I'm in the advantage of this battle as I have Creeping Ooze which decreases its speeds which I take advantage of this.

In Round 4, I have eliminated its Twister Jester which helps lessen their attack opportunities to my monsters. My Creeping Ooze got eliminated where it was replaced by Centaur.

Centaur has been targeting many times where he keeps evading the attacks. I this round, my Centaur has been the frontline while Twister Jester does the damaging where he was able to eliminate the enemies.

Analysis

Base on what I have found out, my Centaur really did a big role during the battle as it serves as a bait to the enemy in order for the Twister Jester to do the attacking. If ever, those advantages didn't work then I might lose the battle considering that he has still one melee attack monster.
