Retro Gaming Blogging Challenge: Day 8 - The Game I Never Completed [Eng - Esp]

Desde que comencé a jugar videojuegos, he terminado una cantidad abundante de títulos, pero, de igual forma ha habido juegos que no he terminado por distintas razones. Algunas de estas, por lo general, eran porque estaba muy difícil, no encontraba la forma de avanzar, no entendía el inglés, me aburría o simplemente encontraba otro juego que captaba más mi atención y me olvidaba del que estaba jugando. Por ello, continuando con el Retro Gaming Blogging Challenge, les compartiré sobre el juego que hasta hoy no he podido terminar, Battletoads & Double Dragon.

Since I started playing video games, I have finished an abundant amount of titles. Still, there have been games that I have not completed for different reasons. Some of these, in general, was because it was too difficult, I couldn't find a way to advance, I didn't understand English, I got bored, or I simply found another game that captured my attention more. I forgot about the one I was playing. So, continuing with the Retro Gaming Blogging Challenge, I will share with you about the game that until today I have not been able to finish, Battletoads & Double Dragon.

Este juego salió para la SNES, fue desarrollado por Rare y distribuida por Tradewest. Es un juego donde vemos el crossover de los icónicos hermanos Lee de Double Dragon y lo Battletoads. Es del tipo donde combates cuerpo a cuerpo contra muchos enemigos que van apareciendo en el nivel, se le conoce como beat 'em up.

This game was released for the SNES, developed by Rare and distributed by Tradewest. It is a game where we see the iconic Lee brothers' crossover from Double Dragon and Battletoads. It is of the type where you fight melee against many enemies that appear in the level. It is known as beat 'em up.

En este juego, combates contra la alianza de la Dark Queen (Battletoads) y Shadow Boss (Double Dragon), de hecho estos dos son los últimos jefes. El juego cuenta con 7 niveles, de los cuales siempre me quedo en el tercer nivel. En ocasiones llego al jefe final de ese nivel, en otras me quedo a mitad del camino.

In this game, you fight against the Dark Queen's alliance (Battletoads) and Shadow Boss (Double Dragon). In fact, these two are the last bosses. The game has 7 levels, of which I always stay in the third level. Sometimes I reach the final boss of that level, sometimes I stay halfway.

Sinceramente, creo que este título tiene una dificultad alta, a comparación de otros juegos parecidos a este. Desde niño, que tuve la primera experiencia con este juego, me he quedado con las ganas de terminarlo. Ya sea que lo juegue solo o en modo multijugador, me es imposible acabarlo. Se ha vuelto una obsesión en cierta forma, ya que es un juego que por más horas que pase, no me aburre ni me disgusta, al contrario siempre que tengo oportunidad lo juego. Como utilizo el emulador de SNES tengo la posibilidad de utilizar la opción de guardar el estado del juego en donde sea que me quede, pero siento que no sería satisfactorio terminarlo de esa forma. Así que, siempre que pierdo lo juego desde el inicio.

Honestly, I think this title has a severe difficulty compared to other games similar to this one. Ever since I was a kid, I had always wanted to finish it when I had my first experience with this game. Whether I play it alone or in multiplayer mode, I can't finish it. It has become an obsession since it is a game that no matter how many hours I spend, I don't get bored or dislike. On the contrary, I always play it whenever I have the chance. As I use the SNES emulator, I can use the option to save the game state wherever I am, but I feel that it would not be satisfactory to finish it that way. So, whenever I lose, I play it from the beginning.
