Encontré un huevo de pascua en Far Cry 3: la cabeza enterrada en la playa [] I found an easter egg in Far Cry 3: the head buried on the beach.

Even though I once played Far Cry 3 and completed the campaign several times, this game still has many mysteries and curiosities completely unknown to me, and I guess to other people. For those who don't know, I recently started playing it again, something I mentioned in my previous post, and these last few days I've been playing it at 100%. Anyway, on one of my wanderings around the Rook Islands, on the shores of the beach while looking for sharks, I came across a great detail, a so-called Easter Egg that I didn't believe existed: the scene on the cover of the game (attached image below) where you can see a man buried in the sand up to his head.

I stumbled upon this easter egg by chance, my journey started more or less like this: There I was, just chilling through life, looking for animal skins to upgrade my equipment (in Far Cry 3 you can increase the amount of weapons, money, ammo, and so on, that you carry by killing animals and using their skins); in the meantime I was attacked by a bear by surprise, and it seems that in this game any animal stops whatever it is it's doing to run at you. I checked my inventory and I needed shark skins, so I went in search of the nearest shore.

I found nothing there, so I moved offshore. I took out some pirates to test out my new tuned sniper rifle, and my newly obtained multi-kill ability, and as I noticed I had a radio tower nearby I paused to disable it (doing so unlocks a portion of the map). I then continued towards the coast.

Something caught my attention, namely a couple of bodies hanging. As I got closer I noticed something glittering in the sand. As I stood next to it and saw that the glow was coming from the head I said to myself, "Hey, I've seen this before". I touched the head, which unlocked the achievement I said hello to the internet, and immediately went to my browser to check if it was the head on the cover of the game. The two dead guys in the background were enough to corroborate it, although I have to say that in game the unfortunate guy buried up to his head looks very different.

And well, I really love that Far Cry 3 never ceases to surprise me, even after several years, with its mysteries and hidden missions. But I guess that's the thing about great games like this. Oh, and in case anyone is interested, I attach the location on the map of this easter egg which, by coordinates is at the point X:620.4 Y:557.9.

I feel that details like this shows that the developers love their game. Adds some extra life to it, no pun intended.

Exactly. When I checked why the head on the beach the first thing I thought was: "I can't believe they took the time to do this".

Brutal details that have this game, it is certainly one of the Far Cry made with more affection. Good post dude. The game has infinities of winks, plus I remember once going around the island I don't remember specifically where it was but I found the Abstergo symbol which is the company that appears in Assasins Creed 3, then I searched the internet and saw that it has infinities of references to more series and movies.

Wow, I didn't know that one either. When I first played FarCry 3 I was a kid and didn't pay much attention to those details. I'll have to look it up, it's an interesting plotwist to think about FarCry and Assassins Creed being part of the same universe XD.

I've seen the trailers for FarCry 6. It's going to be brutal, like a GTA V in FPS version.
